I did not think that would be the outcome but it was a great shave off. That is about as close as it gets. The 6s was a good razor for me but not great so ultimately it went to someone else's house. Can't wait to see what the next match up will be.
Happy shaves

UPDATE:

Razors picked for the next Shave Off

Karve Brass F plate vs Paradigm SS 17 4

I'm looking forward to this one as I only have used the D baseplate on a Karve in another Shave Off a while back. The Paradigm 17 4 is been with me since they came out and is a solid performer so this should be a good one. I'll do the Shave Off for tomorrow morning's work Shave and report back after I get home.

As always any predictions on which one takes the win?

This should be a good one... looking forward to it!!
Not sure I can make a prediction, as I’ve never used the Paradigm 17-4, but love the Karve...
Shame you don’t have the stainless steel Karve with the slightly shorter 3.25” handle. Identical head geometry, so it would shave the same as the brass one, but it would be a bit lighter and more manoeuvrable.

I've got both of these razors, and enjoy both very much. My guess is that the 17-4 will prevail. It seems a tad more smooth on my face.

I’m also guessing the Timeless Bronze .78 open comb will win its category. I used it again this morning. The more I use it, the more efficient and smooth it becomes. It’s certainly among my top three or four, including the Charcoal Goods Level 3 open comb in brass and the Wolfman WR2 1.35 open comb. And it’s just as efficient and smooth...

I agree the handle is longer than I normally like and the 3.25" one is more up my alley!

I know you love that Timeless Bronze my friend and putting it right there with the CG L 3 and WR2 1.35 is a strong statement so I can't wait till it comes up as it's been a long time since I've shaved with one.  Happy2

I've used both so I don't want to bias the Dragonsbeard, Nevertheless it's a great match up of a sub $100 razor vs an unobtaniumm!

I hope to comment and relate my experience after the write up. Have fun Frank

I'm looking forward to this next shave off as well. I've not used exactly either one of these razors. It seems like I read the 17-4 is comparable to the titanium II paradigm ( which I do have) but more efficient. I didn't get along with the Karve brass with the E plate being the highest I had to use.
I'll just guess 17-4 on this one.
I'm curious what you think Mark Shavemd, as well as everybody else

I'd say your assessment of the Paradigm 17 4 and the Titanium 11 is accurate.  They are both smooth and the Titanium has a somewhat softer feel to it on the skin but the 17 4 is also very smooth and noticeably more efficient than the Ti 11. Both excellent razors. I've only shaved with the Karve with the D plate in last years Shave Off and it was a good razor but the long handle was not for me. If I were to own one I'd have to get the shorter handle option for sure.

From an efficiency standpoint, the Karve F should win. The 17-4 is a much better razor tho.
