Very happy to read that the showdown is now on DFS, the best forum for wet shaving in my opinion! Excited to read what you have coming

Thought so. Had a buyer abscond with item then had me banned when I relayed the facts to warn others. They never provided an opportunity to clarify to the admins nor responded to my enquiries. Literally run by a mob. Truth told, glad to be off there; too much toxicity about. Would hope most would state not a provocateur on these shave fora.

But in all decency, what manner of human being would ban a person without the benefit of notification and solicitation of defence beforehand?!  Well and truly, it speaks volumes to maltreat people so irrespective of deserved or not.

Frankie....it's good to see you bring the Shaveoff to DFS.  I usually don't say, "I told you so", but... Cool

These new groupings look like a lot of fun and I gotta agree with Mark, what we considered "extremely efficient" 2 years ago is no longer the case.  The 2011 R41 and the Ikon Tech were the standards for a long time.  Not so anymore.  You have at least 3 Wolfman heads that match or exceed those two, IMO.  Kinda crazy when you think about the progression, huh?  Golden age is right, for us poor technique mutts/masochists.

When you get to the hyper efficient category, save a spot for the winner, my Rocnel Sailor.  It won't be the smoothest, although I think it will surprise you for what it's doing.  I don't think there is anything that can cut that close set on 10.  I'm hoping the Janus can get close.  Time will tell.

My only suggestion would be, don't spend so much time on the write-ups.  Your time is valuable, hit the highlights and drive on.  You shouldn't have to spend 2 hours hovering over a keyboard.  We can read between the lines and the ones that can't can ask questions.

If there is anything else in my den you need, say the word.  I think you now have most everything I do as I've trimmed down quite a bit.

I am highly interested in this shave off! The line up these days will be quite interesting! The Rocnel 2019 Sailor and the Home Like Shaving Taiga seem to give me the closest shave right now set on high gaps with Feather blades. I had the Taiga prototype in house for about a week and the one I ordered should be here by the weekend. I am going to truly enjoy this and will read every word posted!

Well Frank thanks for the last 5K thread as I learned so much about razors and wet shaving from your unbiased views and everyone's comments. There were even some surprises, twists and hysteria - how many times did you fall asleep during a shave-off or rather while "writing it up". The shaving landscape has exploded in the nearly 18 months of the thread (the longest and busiest one ever on that site) with many new stainless razors and now an uptick in adjustables being made. I am looking forward to adding my 2 cents and fear I will be emptying my wallet of several dollars due to excellent "enabling" you claim not to participate in. Haha ... lets go gang. And may the sharpest razor win the day !

Just for sport, I'm curious about what razors have unseated the R41 2011 and Ikon Tech from king of the hill. I have my own list, but I'd love to see yours!
