I can’t quite remember how the wolfman pay request occurs.
It looks like you pay a fee to SEND money through PayPal from your credit card, but could still do a conversion of currencies through the card. For example, I could send you 100 USD from my credit card, I can let them convert it, but PayPal asks I pay a $7.05 Canadian as a fee.
Payment through an e-commerce website with PayPal seems to allow you to use your balance and top up with credit card at no extra fee. For example, I use 50 USD in my PayPal to pay for a razor, then charge the other $50 USD to my credit card through PayPal in this case. I need to select “let your card convert” and then see no extra fees and a better conversion rate.
I think for consumers, it’s easier to pay by credit card and avoid any third party. But to do that, he’d need to invest in a platform like Shopify, which likely incurs similar or more fees to the seller? This is not my expertise, but a general understanding of how transactions online currently occur. Please correct anything I may have misconstrued.

Tony
Last week I paid for my razor order via the Paypal invoice, I used my Australian credit card and charged it in CAD, which my bank did conversion and charged me fees & rewards set as per their T&Cs. No extra fees, taxesm, nothing out of the ordinary there.
Other bigger sales channels/platforms like Ebay, Etsy, Amazon, Shopify WILL definately charge me about +15% in GST and duties to bring anything into Australia.
Currently conversion via Paypal's platform is to be avoided as others have said, but it gives 1-click convenience and keeps it simple for the masses.

The fees above are from my credit card, which has high Foreign Transaction FEES. I have used this card for years. It is certainly NOT perfect and has it's downsides, as ALL credit cards. I make very few Foreign Transactions, so I accept the occasional fee. Most credit cards have many more issues, including spam and security issues. I only have two credit cards and NO debit cards. I do NO transactions on my smartphone, so NO APPS!
BTW: The $17.39 USD FEE was because I ordered TWO WRA2 stands (All my items were Brushed/Basic Matte Finish). TWO stands per order is the order LIMIT. Last November, my credit card fee was only $12.51 USD because I only had ONE WRA2 stand in the order.
Bottom Line: You must be able/willing to pay (Gladly) some fees regarding buying razors from Wolfman!
I'd gladly pay it, my issue with PAYPAL was that
They listed it in the column with the exchange rate
Then on the phone they spent a half hour lying
That the exchange rate was actually that high, I had
To pry the truth out of them and finally they said
Oh we just noticed that the $23 you're talking about
Is actually a fee we at PAYPAL have added on and
It has nothing to do with the actual exchange rate
I asked them why in the hell didn't you just say that
In the first place and their answer was, is there
Anything else we can help you with.
By the way, I purchased 1 razor & 1 WRA2 stand
All in basic brushed and PAYPAL hit me for $23.40
So you got 2 stands and 1 razor & got hit for $17.39
Maybe I should try to rejoin the list if there's any chance he'll do titanium... I begged off late last summer when my name finally got called because I just had zero interest in SS DE razors at the time, and that hasn't changed since. Hopefully I haven't been blacklisted since I just asked to be removed.
At the time I figured it didn't do much good for me to stay on the list with delayed ordering since Ti didn't appear at all likely anytime soon. Or do y'all think it's just as likely that he'd start a new/separate list if he did decide to finally do Ti razors again?

Perhaps because of the Covid-19 situation my last opportunity offered the option of 'postpone.' At that time it was said I could opt back in whenever I chose to.
I made it clear that I was waiting for Ti. I think I'm still able to order now if I wanted to go with whatever is available, namely SS.
I too am holding out for Ti. I have plenty of SS Wolfman, among others.
