I now have all the gaps in various iterations from 1.25 up to 1.65. The 2 open comb sides in a couple of the DC’s are 1.25 and 1.45. The SB sides that I have are 1.25,1.35,1.55 and 1.65. I think the only other razors that I would by from Wolfman are another WR1 in highest gap (.94) and a titanium or brass/bronze if they are ever offered again or if I find one for a reasonable price or trade on the BST forums. I was telling a friend that I am done......Maybe!

Just curious, do you find a 1.25 OC to be equivalent to a 1.35 SB ... or close ? Or would you say it is about the same as a 1.25 SB ?

I have a 1.15OC/1.25SB DC and unless I'm kidding myself the 1.15 OC equals the 1.25 SB side.

I would say that is about correct. The reason I went with a 1.45OC on my newest DC is because I knew I could handle that as the highest gap I would probably go in an OC in the WR2. Some folks don’t like DC razors but I love them because, in my humble opinion, you get the best of both worlds.

So do you people that have tried OC and SB think the OC side equals 1 gap higher in comfortness too or does it lack there? Because if let’s say an 1.15 OC equals an 1.25 SB both in efficiency and comfortness , then why would anyone would get an SB and not the lower OC that would also offer the advantage of not clogging so easily?

I don't think (for me) the OC equals the SB in comfort. I think the SB is more comfortable gap for gap. OTOH, the OC isn't 'uncomfortable' per se. Just not as smooth/comfortable as the SB. YMMV

For me the WR2 1.35 OC was equal in efficiency to my WR2 1.45 SB but the 1.45 SB is definitely smoother

I have 1.55DC. SB side has less blade feel, probably that is why it's been called smoother.
But I find OC side is very comfortable, too.

I shaved with my new wolfman WR2 1.15 with 2-day growth. WTG, XTG and ATG, three pass. Very efficient and smooth, no irritation. I can enjoy whisker free face feeling for 16-18 hours. It’s a excellent razor for me with 2-day growth.

It is my first wolfman razor with 1.15 WR2 and WRH7 90mm. The overall weight and center of gravity of the razor are suitable for me. I like the waist design of the WRH7 handle, the weight is distributed to the knurled position and the bottom, so the grip is very stable.

Enjoying wet shaving with wolfman razor.
