So, took delivery of my new WR2 today and it’s a beauty. I have kept this one under wraps for a while and I know of only one other that has this gap in a Wolfie. We think that there might be one or 2 others but I actually got permission to reveal this one straight from Mr. DuFour before talking about it or posting pics on the forum. This is a DC 1.65SB/1.45OC with 100mm WRH1 Hollow Handle. Yes, I said 1.65. This will never be in the drop down menu when making a Wolfman order through the new order form system. I will be shaving with it this evening. This is my 3rd SS WR2. My others are a 1.25 DC and a 1.55/1.35 SB. Pics of the unboxing are below.

Congrats it a beauty. 1.65? Wow! Either skin and / or whiskers  of titanium. Please let us know how it feels.

Congrats bro! I’m glad someone finally got James to push that gap even higher. Now, let’s get to 1.75 and beyond, haha.

Hahaaha nice! Im here talking to myself in sadness on how much of a puss i am, as i will “only” go with 1.35 on my upcoming order.

It is what it is, i am not manly enough

I have had the benefit of owning many of the Wolfman gaps over the past six (6) months.  The WR2 1.35 is what I settled on for a combo of efficiency and smoothness.  You made an outstanding choice!

Shaved with the new WR2 yesterday evening around 7pm with 4 days growth. Used the 1.45 OC side for the first WTG pass and the 1.65 SB side for the ATG and XTG passes. Needless to say, it’s a BEAST!! Got 2 small weepers on my neck during the ATG pass but I think that was because I was using a fresh Gillette Platinum blade. This thing is just as smooth as my 1.55/1.35. The efficiency is absolutely ridiculous though. It mowed down 4 days growth like it was nothing! Love this 100mm hollow handle too! For me, it’s the perfect weight and size for that head. The balance is impeccable. I have 2 other Wolfman handles in 96 and 95mm lengths and I love those but for this one, I think I picked the perfect length for me. I felt the first slight hint of stubble after 16-17 hours. I am now at 19 hours and there is barely any stubble on my face. The only razor that competes with this one is my Rocnel 2019 Sailor at setting 6 or 7. Difference being the WR2 is smoother at that high gap. I have heard rumors that James might do an adjustable someday. If so, OMG!! Here is a pic of my SOTD late yesterday.

+1, it seems to me above 1.55 it's gilding the lily. You may as well break out a straight razor  Smile YMMV

My next gap will be 1.35 SB. I want to be conservative.
