1.45 all the way,

For me the definitive sweet spot of all Wr2’s.
Very little between the 1.45 & the 1.55, however the 1.45 is smoother,

In my experience...... Cool

Mine was shipped yesterday and is finally in Canada's postal system. Now the waiting begins.

Is it also similar to the blackbird to you?   you guys are leaning me into that 1.45 now! hehehe   I only shave every 2 or 3 days (top 2 razors are blackbird and T95).  Found the 1.15 milder than both.

If you only shave every 2 or 3 days go with the 1.55 you will not regret it. I have the 1.55 and I, honestly, couldn't be any happier with it. I cycle through that and my paradigm for 6 days a week and it is smooth. I don't own the 1.45 so I wouldn't be able to compare smoothness but I wouldn't trade my 1.55 for anything.

I hold the mighty Blackbird  very dear & in my top 5,
The timeless .95 for some reason I found was exactly the same efficiency as the Bird but the only razor ever to give me irritation,
I like to shave every other day, however, the Wr2 1.45 I can shave and shave and shave, super smooth on any rotation without issue, daily if required, Or days of growth can be mown down, simply lifting the handle towards riding the cap gives a mild shave on any Wr2, as such I seldom pick up any other razor than the 1.45,
If you work on shave angle technique, no need for a smaller gap, its all great! Ymmv!  Cool

I'm pretty much sold on the 1.45 now (since many are pointing to this or even 1.55).   Really appreciate all you guys input.

Get the 155 and be done, says I. Don't fight it.

You might be right, LOOT.  I'm definitely going for one of the highest gaps for my next one.  By any chance, have you ever tried the ATT H1 or ATT H2? (I loved those but were a bit harsh, but shaves were super close)

I had a 7 ATT set with an R2, S2 and M2 plates. I never got along with any of it. The set was short lived.

I had H1 before, I found it a bit harsh for me.
I can comfortably use my 1.55 even for a daily shave. But better for 2-3 days growth.
1.55DC is my best safety razor. I like OC side more, when I have a week growth.
