For my next razor, I am thinking to get 0.80DC or 0.86DC, and I will sell my .94SB Head.
I can use 1.55 even for a daily shave, but .94 is a bit harsh for this.

A good Friend of mine loaned me his .94, and it was just a bit too much of a good thing for me. I couldn’t use it without getting irritation. The WR1 .80 OC is my favorite Shaver of all time, my Desert Island Razor. I can use it daily with zero irritation and it always gives me an efficient BBS Shave. Add a Darwin Handle and I’m in heaven Big Grin.

Nice friends you got. Ha!

I'm with Hunter.  80OC for the island...cept I want a hollow XL7 hybrid.

So the list is to Nov 16 the?

I tired a .61 WR1 but shaved so similar to my Lupo so I wrote it off and started looking at 1.15 WR2s more. After today’s posts I’m reconsidering a WR1 .80 dc now. Copper CG gen 2 lvl 2 is my current top of the heap out of vector, CG gen 1 lvl 2 & 3, and a Tatara Nodachi.

I would disagree with that statement personally. The wr1 is a fabulous razor and might edge the wr2 in certain aspects, but for me the wr2 is the clear winner between the 2 heads.

I have a standard gap WR1 OC and a 1.55 SB WR2. I prefer the WR1 that I have as the 1.55 is a little much for my skin, but both are super smooth and I would like to trade the 1.55 for a lower gap. I love the head design itself.

What Wr1 Oc Gap are you comparing to the Wr2 1.55?

I will say that the WR2 is the best of the 2 designs. My first Wolfman was a .74 WR1 DC which I still own but the 2 WR2’s that I have are much smoother at much higher gaps. I was going to get another WR1 at .86 or .94 gap but I can’t resist getting another WR2.

Can you guys do a rank of your favourite Wolfman head/gaps?

Personally, I think the WR1 and the WR2 are the best two heads I've used. I sold just about everything I had and concentrated on these two. I could rank them in either order, honestly. "get better shaves with WR1 than WR2"? I could go either way, on any given day. The 80OC and the 115SB would be my favorites, if my intent was to shave daily and get it done as comfortably as possible. I don't shave daily nor on a set schedule so I enjoy different razors for different reasons/growth.

If you've never used either head, tough call. I will say the WR1 is lighter, thinner profile, and has consistent blade feel with my preference to OC's. The WR2 is heavier, taller, ability to cut much closer, and with quite a bit less blade feel....and it's inconsistent blade feel, meaning it diminishes after the first pass. Which you would prefer, I dunno. I think you mentioned the Charcoal Goods L2?, maybe not...the 80OC is probably very close in all metrics to an L2. If you like that amount of blade feel and want the WR2 head, you likely would get it in a 135 on the first pass, but the 135 will cut much closer (like a WR1 94). I stay away from OCs in the WR2 head. For me, face feel of the OCs change to something like a iKon Tech or 2011 R41. I can tolerate that feel from some of my razors but not in a Wolfman. The WR2 stays very smooth through the entire gap range.

Both are great heads, to me. I do have twice as many WR2s than WR1s, so there is that. This is just my experience with them. I hope it helps. If not completely, tell us your favorite razors now and how often you like to shave. Maybe how you'd like for the new Wolfman to perform. With that, other guys can chime in.

I once owned a WR1 SB 0.61 and OC 0.70. The WR1 design looks better - sleeker than the WR2. I get better shaves with my WR2 1.15 & 1.05. Much smoother. Thinking about getting a 1.35 or 1.45 next.

Hmmmm...it appears the line is moving along expeditiously. I (we) always presumed this was heavily front-loaded, but I might not have as much time to wait as I thought (didn't join list 'til end of January). I've decided that even though I don't care much about DE any more, I'll still get a basic polish Wolfman if my PayPal account has enough cash in it to pay for it when my name comes up. If not, I'll pass.

After about 3 or 4 blade cycles with the 1.15 WR2, I think that it might be my favorite razor out of 30 or so. It's just a very comfortable razor to use.
