Dude! I have all the Wolfman razors wanted including the full kit BBS1 and sold quite a few as well...good to know what and whom you are disparaging prior to commenting....

Also you seem to hold quite a low opinion of other forum members on DFS and quite high opinion of self judging by your comments, there's a pathology expressing those symptoms. We are already doing package passarounds exceeding 4 figures all in and only 2 problems to date: a guy scared to death due to COVID and another literally just throwing the razors in a box for shipping causing damage. Perhaps people aren't as kleptic as you suppose? Fortunately, I have never suffered from the delusion of being better than everybody else.

I also have two Wolfman razors, one of them is the BBS-1 that I bought directly from John. So what? I also had a talk with James some years ago on the phone. Good to know what is the other part too prior to making your comments.

I didn't get an answer though. If someone does not have anything valuable and relevant to say, it gets it too personal making comments like you did and attacking the other part. I get it. It's easy to attack a member and not get straight to the facts. There is also a pathology for people who are irrational.

You say you have passarounds going through, but Wolfman is on a totally different level. What comes next? Reaching Patek Philippe for a pass-around to let everyone see if it looks nice on their wrist? Haha.

Would you compensate James? Easy asnwer.

Yes, people are not as kleptic as I think. People only have a good side and express their love at every chance. What world you live in dude? I want to move there. That's why nobody has got burned with the friends and family payments. Ask the people who have lost their hard earned money. Good to know you live in a magnificent and unique society of good and angelic creatures. Lol

He has not responded. Anybody ordering in communication with Wolfman would be thanked for telling him to read my emails and respond. To Max point, having this inperson exposure to the different gaps prior to ordering would aid customer satisfaction and be a real service to those with constrained budgets needing to pick the right razor the first time

Help me to help the forum guys

I don't see this happening.

And I don't think James would agree on that for many reasons. Expecting an email for such a thing when James is almost unreachable for the average wetshaver is a bit too much. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

People who can buy a Wolfman can afford more than one. This thread is the proof of this.

What you're suggesting would take a lot of time. People would need to have at least three weeks before sending the very expensive package to the next person. You can't draw a conclusion just like that. It takes time with all these plates and different combinations.

People wait months to purchase one. They are not available 24/7. Even if you like one combo from the pass-around, you have to wait so much time. In the meantime, there are many other razors available.

With all due respect, it looks like a try to get your hands on as many combinations as possible, without having any possibility to just visit the site and buy one. It makes no sense.

There are so many other companies that can send their products and make a pass-around. Stick to them. Wolfman is not one of them and won't be one in the foreseeable future.

What if someone just tries the razors and never sending them to the next one, keeps them for himself or resells them? They're very precious and expensive items and even an honest person would have second thoughts. Human nature is unpredictable. There is a high possibility for this. Very high. How can you eliminate this? You can't. US is a huge country. Yyyyuuuge. You wouldn't have participants of a very small community (geographically) that they're known to each other. The participants would be totally strangers. You wouldn't be able to locate them. See what happens with the friends and family payments and people who steal money and send nothing back. You just can't find them, unless you're a real weirdo (visit their home and such). Would you personally compensate James if anything occurs with the razors? Would you pay a couple of grands (a random number)? Would you trust each and every person enough to take the risk?

Something like this would make Wolfman accessible to everyone. All would like to be added in the list. Each and every one. Especially those that can't afford one or don't have the time to wait or wait for years to try one. This is not how it works with the Wolfman Razors company and I wonder why you even suggested like this since it is not exactly the easiest thing in the wet shaving world. On the contrary, it's the most difficult.

Unbelievable.

Ditto!

You have some nerve!

Let's look at your post:
"With all due respect, it looks like a try to get your hands on as many combinations as possible, without having any possibility to just visit the site and buy one."
Thus it is appropriate to respond what I own and what I don't have a lot of interest in owning.

You would be well advised to consider your advice concerning value and relevance, particularly when having the temerity to condemn personal comments.  As with most narcissists, the presumption is everybody else here is a thief and scammer except, of course, you.  Wolfman is quite a good razor, probably the best, certainly the best reputation but dollar value is dollar value be it $1000 in pennies, dimes, twenties or hundreds.

Without knowing a damned thing of how we conduct passarounds, you yet threw out more factually incorrect allegations hidden as irrebuttable presumptions...in fact we do have insurance to protect vendors from participants absconding with razors.  We also get personal information from each participant down to detailed contact information we confirm prior to shipping.  If a razor goes missing, we go to the vendor with cash in hand to get another to continue the passaround per our commitment.  Are there thieves about, no doubt yes BUT far less than self-righteous know nothing snobs might presume.  Further, without knowing even one sentence in my proposal to James, you went about publicly discrediting it - then again who would know more about anything than you, right?  Part of the passaround was to maintain an ongoing communication with Wolfman to send the razor to buyers they would identify as undecided on an expedited basis for decision making.  Moreover, participants would need provide a confirmation they are on the list to be eligible.  Regarding 3-4 weeks, that is absurd, people are going to migrate within 1 shave to narrow band of gaps appealing to their preferences - 1,15 guys will know immediately that 1,45/1,55 is not for them and be comparing 1,05 -1,25 over the course of 2 shaves for example.

In summation, we differ in that I feel the community is fundamentally honest, you presume them scammers

Living on the edge
Dan obviously means well, and wants to see if the process of selecting a wolfman gap can be simplified.

I also think James D will not go for a pass around....from his POV, he doesn't need to hard sell his razors
one bit.

Don't feel bad if James hasn't replied, Dan....writing to him is one of the toughest jobs ever...even one word
out of place guarantees zero response.

For the record...if anyone, EVER mails me a frickin complete Lego Master Wolfman set...consider them MIA. I am certainly the kleptic in the room in this scenario. For that reason, I'm out of the Wolfman pass around. Thanks for putting this together, Dan!

Thank you. 374 pages of posts, nearly all dealing with complete confusion regarding the gap to order with minimal time to decide, indicates this is less than a six sigma optimized process, eh? Not suggesting a dual gapped series of baseplates is the only solution but it is certainly better than people, including me, rendering our experiences with the gaps and comparable razors. Anybody stealing the passaround would have their real name, address, cell and email posted for every forum member in every forum possible so there is that too. But yeah, sometimes the only way to know is to try.

No, I'm pretty calm. You're the one who thinks he can attack a member that has very reasonable questions and thoughts. Again. Get your facts straight.

Human nature is unpredictable. It's the truth. I don't think anyone is a scammer unless he proves me wrong. And our community has such examples. You're the one who got mad some time ago, starting threads on different sites about a member that you couldn't reach, aren't you? If you only believe in the good nature of people, why you even doubted for a second and people tried to calm you down and told you that things are tough and unstable with the covid situation? No need to answer me, I know the answer. It's more of a food for thought.

You won't see a Wolfman pass-around. Relax. James would never agree on this. If you even get a reply, tell us some lotto numbers as well. Stick to the most accessible brands and you'll be fine expressing your good vibes.
