At least that’s been my experience with the exact same razors. Great choice, and congratulations! Let us know what you think once you’ve used it a couple times.

Would you say that the efficiency of Timeless .95 SB is similar to WR2-SB 1.05, then?
Thanks!
That seems about right, but I’ve never used the 1.05 so I can’t say for certain. There are several folks in this thread that could help you with that comparison, I’m sure.

Thank you.
I have a Timeless Ti .95 SB, and love it, but probably wouldn’t want to go more efficient/ aggressive than that. Which is why I was wondering if 1.05 would be the best WR2 SB choice....

I’ve read through most of this thread, and looks like a lot of people end up with a higher gap than maybe initially planned, as WR2 maintains its smoothness as the gap increases. Which is great to hear, as I put smoothness at the top of my list.
But I shave daily (or about 5-6 days/ week), and I find that if I use a razor that’s “too efficient” (even if still smooth whilst shaving), my face starts to feel a bit “raw” after a few days...

This is where I am at. I won't use the 1.25 on consecutive days. I rarely use the 1.15 on consecutive days. I use my 1.05 more than the other two. But I like the shave I get with the 1.25 most of all. When I had that super high gap DC, it was OK one day per week, but no more than that.

So do you still have all three: 1.25, 1.15 and 1.05?
And what do you mean when you say you like the shave you get from 1.25 the most? Is it just the efficiency/ BBS you get at the end of it, or even during the shave... face feel, smoothness, etc?

I am on the other end of the gap spectrum. Love my 1.25 as a daily driver. For the days I want a little less than it’s the Diamondback. There are days where I want more efficiency so I put myself back on the list for another. Going up one gap to a 1.35 or do I just go full ahead to the 1.55? Or do I do something completely different and consider a wr1 86 or 94. I wouldn’t mind filling the OC option with a wr1 but it seems most prefer the wr2 for the overall experience. Sounds like it time to shim.

I much prefer the WR1 and especially BBS1. Not that WR2 bad but tried many and sold one.

I have all three gaps in Ti. I use the 1.25 with 48+ hour growth. It seems to give me the closest, longest lasting shave. But my beard doesn’t grow in fast enough to use on consecutive days. I mean, I can use it on consecutive days here and there, but not regularly. But the same is true of the 1.15. My main daily drivers are the Ti 1.05 and a Ti WR1 .61.

Just me, but...

Your 125 cuts a little closer than an 86, not quite a 94. If you want noticeably more efficient than your 125...you are out of the WR1's range. I would order a 155.

The 125 is smooth. The 155 doesnt lose much but you'll get closer to 94 level blade feel.

Not much cuts like a 155 but it is surprisingly unassuming. Little chance of blood letting.

If you get a 145, you'll always what-if the 155...and honestly, the difference is noticeable but it's not substantial. The 155 is an outstanding razor by any measure.

Hope this help.

I’ve found unlike Paradigm and Charcoal Goods where I use the entire range, in the WR2 (and WR1) I prefer to find the gap for me and don’t enjoy the entire range. I really enjoy the 1.15 WR2 (and the 0.74 WR1 ... OC for a little extra efficiency) and have a 1.25 for when I haven’t shaved for a few days.

I just shaved with my WR1 0.74 ... two days ago was with the WR2 1.15 OC. I have a better shaving experience with the WR1 and find it to be the nicer looking razor. However, the design of the WR2 is so great, especially for drying the razor. Wonder why more razor makers don't go this route with their design rather than the traditional three-post razor.

I've wondered that as well.

I was leaning towards a .94 WR1 when my turn came up again, and these last few posts have pretty much solidified that decision.
