As it stands today, the 1.05 SB without hesitation paired with a 7XL. I'd rather keep the same gap on both sides and get another Wolfman 1.15 down the road.

I have one DC with two gaps. The 1.15 is OC, and the 1.25 is SB. My reasoning is that the OC is reputed (by some) to be more aggressive at the same gap as an SB.

I do the first down pass with the higher gap OC, doing the 'heavy lifting', then the second ATG pass with the gentler (according to some) SB.

That is why I put the higher gap as SB. It increases in efficiency what it loses in aggressiveness because of the SB. IMHO  Smile

Thank you.
Yes, I do a similar thing with my Timeless Ti. I have a DC baseplate, same .95 gap, but OC on one side (for first pass on greater than 24 hrs growth), and SB on the other (for second/ third pass), and it works nicely.
In this case I was wondering about having SB on both sides, but with different gaps....

My choice of WTG only is not because of irritation.  It is because of ingrown hairs.  I can shave XTG without irritation, but I still get ingrown hairs.  I won't even attempt ATG.  The whole reason I started using DEs was because I would get ingrown hairs shaving with cartridge razors, only shaving WTG.  My facial hair curls back into my skin, so I can't get it too close.  Fortunately, I don't care about BBS.  I just care that I get it close enough to hide the gray.

Some of brothers played ball with in university had similar issues; they would use chemical and popsicle stick. Smelled to hell of rotten eggs but worked. Tried it once; burnt skin as too sensitive; wish it had worked though as was smoothest BBS ever. Inexpensive too.

It’s called Magic Shave and it was made for African American men. It’s horrible for
Your skin if used incorrectly. I used it in college for a while and it does give an incredibly smooth shave but it has some sort of acid in it and can burn your skin if left on a second too long.

Yeah. Guys convinced me to try it thinking it would help shave irritation but damn did it burn (and stink). It was the closest face shave ever, akin to a body waxing. Lasts a long time too

Bicycle racing. Last thing in world one desires is roadrash infused with body hair. Painful cleaning and scabbing
