Really liking MDC shave soap too. It’s great to finally be fully content with my shaving gear, 1 razor, 1 brush and now only 3 soaps and 2 after shaves. It’s amazing to no longer feel the need to be chasing the next thing, well for shaving gear that is

Good for you! I hope to land in a similar space someday, but I suspect I won't be able to...

Though I could certainly survive on the soap front with MdC. What flavor are you using?

My Den has also changed since the Wr2 Landed......
Since receiving my Wr2 1.45/1.05 sb Darwin I seldom reach for anything else & when I do it's the Raw Rs-10, so 2 DE razors has me covered.
Still love the Straights! A different experience entirely.
My fave soap would have to be Eufros in various flavours,

Lots of everything to Bst when I get around to it.. Cool

for MdC I’m hooked on their Fougere scent, it’s an amazing scent. I love the whole packaging with MdC, how it looks and fits in my hand when using it.

WR2 1.25 sb at a steeeeep angle has been a game changer here as well.
Nothing else comes close.

I can't decide whether I like Fougere or Rose better. Though I also like Original, Vetyver and Agrumes...

I need some recommendations for when my second slot comes around. In February I received my first Wolfman razor; a 1.25 WR2 on WRH2 handle. I went with the 1.25 gap because my everyday razors are either the .95 Timeless or the .84 GC, and I prefer a larger gap. Unfortunately, the 1.25 WR2 is proving to be too much for everyday shaving. It works great on 2-3 days growth, but eats me alive on 1 day growth. So my question is; when my next opening comes around, should I get a lower gap WR2 (which gap?) or a .86 WR1? At this point I'm leaning towards the WR1, but all opinions are welcome.

For daily shaving 1.05 should suffice

With all the hyping of the higher gaps on this forum, you could probably fairly easily find a member with a lower gap WR2 who is wishing he’d ordered a higher one, and would be willing to trade with you. Just a thought. FWIW, I’ve found my 1.15 to hit the sweet spot for me as a daily shaver. It sounds like 1.05 or 1.15 might be the ticket for you. Good luck.

Edit: The Timeless SS.95 and GC84 are in my daily rotation, as well.

While I love larger gaps, if I consistently shaved daily, I'd go 80OC or 1.15. Both are excellent and will yield pretty much the same result. If the 1.25 is a little much, the 86 likely will be too.
