Just used a wr2 1.25oc on 7 days growth , fresh kai blade, 3 passes, and I didn’t even get a tiny nick. Amazing shave

How often do you cork?
I tried it the other day on a Wizzie with about 6 shaves on it....could have been my mind playing tricks but
I liked it.

With Nacet - never (maybe should try it as only getting 4 shaves).

With Timor - before every shave, including first shave

SInce this tread is usually about Wolfman WR2 heads/handles, as the title suggests, I didn't want to draw it further afield ... and I'm really curious about the general consensus of corking blades. So I posted a thread with a poll here for anyone who has the time and the inclination to reply.

How's the 1.25 oc? Thats the same one that I think I'm gonna end up choosing when my turn comes up. What would you compare that razor in terms of efficiency?

If it's any help...I have the 1.15 OC (well actually a DC 1.15 SB/OC).
I get a similar shave from my Karve #D SB plate. My best guess is that the WR2 1.25 would be similar to a Karve #E plate.
I have the stainless Karve with #C and #D SB plates, but have ordered the #E SB plate to up the 'bite' a wee bit more.
The WR2 1.15 is very smooth, and in basic/textured it looks stunning.
I think you will love your WR2 1.25 OC.

Thanks, it does help. This will be my first Wolfman and I've been debating whether going with the 1.25 oc or going for higher gap on an sb. I mostly own sb razors so I wanted something different.

Hi all. Hoping for some wisdom and benchmarking. Anyone have a sense what WR2 blade gap(s) would equal the efficiency of the Paradigm 17-4 and/or Ti2? Are they similar in how smooth they shave?
