The Ti brushed finish is nice however I would have liked my Ti razor to be shiny.
I think you'd be happy with the Ti basic finish as it's plenty shinny. Here's a side by side photo of my High polished WR2 Ti DC 1.25/1.35 with HR7 handle next to my newer brushed WR2 Ti DC 1.45/1.55 with the HR2 handle and unless you are looking at them both with a magnifier it's really hard to see the difference because his brushed it that good.
Simply looking at the reflected Wolfman logo, the one on the left is clearer, to my eye...but that is your brushed? Did you mislabel them?
In any case, your brushed is much cleaner than any of mine. You got lucky. DuFour spent some extra time on it.
James looking at this photo which was meant for IG it looks like I did some editing so I’ll take a raw side by side and post it up but you may be right. I had asked James if he would do another high polished when I ordered my 1.45/1.55 and he responded that he wasn’t doing any custom work at the time but also noted I’ll try to buff it up a bit if I have extra time. When I got it and first opened the box I did not expect it to look like that so I emailed him back to thank him and said James it looks like my High Polished when I put them side by side and he wrote back and said well I’ve been doing this for a long time so I can see a difference. At that point I’m saying to myself well ok I guess I need stronger glasses. So maybe he buffed it up a bit more than normal like you said. Now it’s got my curiosity up to compare them again.
So thanks for the observations

The exact order I’m considering. Let us know how it handles!
The hollow handle weight is good for me and not sure balance is even in the equation for me I don't think about it. I will say I believe the hollow handle gives it a little bit higher tone of feedback than the solid version on my 1.35.
A lot of gentleman on here have said how smooth these things are in the higher gaps and I find that very true, just how the reports have been.

Once I had done one pass I was reassured that this is a smooth razor. Unlike a 2011 Muhle 41 I don't have the 'walking on eggs' feeling when I'm shaving. Alert at all times. I can take this 1.55 and relax and just enjoy the shave.
3rd shave this morning. 24 hours since the 2nd shave. 3rd use of the same Feather blade with an 85mm WRH2 this time. Great 2 pass shave with no irritation. Tomorrow I will try a mild blade, an Israeli Red Personna.
LOOT James
Ok I did a side by side of the high polished Ti 1.25/1.35 with the HR7 handle and the Brushed Ti 1.45/1.55 with the HR2 handle. So do you think James did some extra buffing on the brushed finished one? I want your opinion cause you know his work better than I do. I'm just curious.
Thanks!

His dad thought it was too aggressive for him after one shave! Great trade!! I did not submit my order until September 23rd so my number may not come up for several months. So glad I had some great stuff to trade for this one. I would love to trade this Darwin Handle for a longer Wolfman Handle. I will probably put the handle up on BST after the weekend.

First shave earlier this evening and damn if this was just as smooth as my 1.25 but with quite a bit more efficiency! I can’t see anyone thinking that the 1.55 is aggressive! My Rocnel 2019 Sailor set on 5 is about the same gap and much more aggressive than this WR2 1.55. I don’t know how James can make a high gap razor like this so smooth but damn he is a genius!! Now let’s see how long I am stubble free.

Have used the H7 standard length hollow on a wr2 SS head....the resulting
balance (on a WR2 config) is noticeably skewed towards the head.
I am totally sold on his hollow handles...I would love to try a H7 XL hollow....
at about 56gm it would be near perfect.
