Ok I did a side by side of the high polished Ti 1.25/1.35 with the HR7 handle and the Brushed Ti 1.45/1.55 with the HR2 handle. So do you think James did some extra buffing on the brushed finished one? I want your opinion cause you know his work better than I do. I'm just curious.

Thanks!

Have used the H7 standard length hollow on a wr2 SS head....the resulting
balance (on a WR2 config) is noticeably skewed towards the head.

I am totally sold on his hollow handles...I would love to try a H7 XL hollow....
at about 56gm it would be near perfect.

Thank you for the feedback! I love shaving with head-heavy razors.

You got two beauties, fersure.  Comparing my brushed Ti to yours is night and day almost.  He spent some extra time on yours. Here are mine....Brushed Ti, Polished Ti, mirror SS.

Your 3 look awesome to Janes and I like the way you used the blade boxes to show the front of the razor and the finish. I’m gonna have to try that soon. You can really see the difference between the mirror polished SS and if I remember right the SS has a different look to it than the high polished Ti

Thank you for taking the time to take the photos!

If I ever get the opportunity for Ti it will be brushed, based on the photos. I just prefer that look. Thanks for posting the pix !

No problem. The brushed is actually very nice. It certainly has its advantages. It doesn't show soap scum/glue dots as bad and I've yet to see the dreaded 4 matching sets of blade marks on the top and bottom cap that the mirror exhibits with use. For those reasons my brushed Ti's get a lot more use.

Last evening I shaved with the WR2 1.55 again. This time I used the long WRH1 solid handle and a Israeli Red Personna. Nice shave, but I like the Feather better. I'll be trying various blades in subsequent shaves. The end result was my usual two pass WTG/ATG and BBS. Note the polished basic/matte finish on the top cap. Handle is the more costly mirror, but the knurling cancels out most of that. I've tried this head with long, medium, and short handles. Heavy and light. Performs well with any and all configurations tried thus far.

Received my WR2-1.55 (basic textured) via a friend today and used it for the first time today. Used r41 for half of my face for comparison. 1.55 felt like a slightly smoother razor with similar efficiency. Here are some pics with a maggard mr11 handle.

Been using my WR2 1.25 SB since I got it. Tried a Nacet and ATG was pretty rough. I liked the Polsilver, was smooth and skin friendly. What blades do you guys like on this razor and what other blades perform similar to the Polsilver Super Irridium?

I’m just curious as to what R41 you used in your side by side with the WR2 1.55? Reason I ask is yes I agree the WR2 is smoother but if you were using a 2013 R41 I find the 1.55 noticeably more efficient. If your referring to the 2011 R41 then that may be an efficiency match up. I’ve shaved with both separately but have yet to do a side by side comparison with them but I will be in the near future.
