Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

For me all mirror polished handles are extremely slippery cause I use a water softener. Same with polished brush handles. Unless there’s heavy knurling on the handle it doesn’t matter which handle I choose. However I dig my wet fingers in an alum block before handling anything or even to stretch my skin for when I use a straight razor. Makes my fingers grip securely on anything I grab. Works like a charm. With that said WH3 and 7 are my favorite ones followed by the WH1.

The Darwin is rock solid even in mirror polish....possibly due to the grooves cut into it.

I have been fortunate enough to see and use all Wolfman handles and the Darwin was my least favorite. I didn't like how it felt in my hands at all. It was too slim for me and it was still slippery. Beautifully crafted though. The 7 is the one that flows the best with the head design as does the 3. But it's all personal. I own myself a 3 (96mm) and will go for a 7 XL when it's my turn. I favor long handles.

After changing my mind many times Ive finally agreed with myself that the WRH7 is the handle the wolfman WR2 head was made for.
Even if I had 3-4 WM razors I would want them all on the H7 XL.....I would find another way to tell them apart.

Do like I did...7XL...7xl hybrid...7XL hybrid alternate knurling, etc. That'll keep them separated.

I do agree 7XL is the best on the WR2.

Also...never had any issue with grip on any of my WM handles including mirror.

Not to be contrary, but I've used the 7XL hollow, WRH1 (100mm solid), WRH3 (96mm solid), WRH2 (90mm & 80mm), WRH7 (90mm) and the Darwin with the WR2, and WR1. I like all of them with either head. My preference, again because of grip, the WRH2 first, WRH1 second. YMMV.

Purely as a functional tool the WRH1 with the knurling was the best of the bunch for me. The WRH2 second. However in terms of flow, design and looks the 7 XL is the one.

This has been my experience as well. The WRH1 is king for grip, followed by the WRH2. As far as looks, the WRH7 is my favorite, especially with a WR1 Head. My other personal favorites are the Darwin with WR1 Head, WRH3 and WRH3/7 Hybrid with the WR1 and WR2 Heads  .

My favorite handle is the BBS-1, followed by the Darwin then WRH2 Ti
