Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

Find Darwin hideous (and am an expert on the subject) but incredible in use due to all the grip alternatives. That stated always spec super long custom polished WHR2.  Now regarding the BBS1; never a razor more perfect in every way

I appreciate all the handle discussion, especially as someone who has never even held a Wolfman of any flavor (and even though I'm a looooong ways away from needing to worry about final configuration).  I love the aesthetics of the WRH7, but IME, lots of knurling is something I always appreciate for functional reasons.

As I await my name being called, Imma experiment a bit and maybe get back into the artisan handles thing.  I think I'll be getting this titanium handle from Stork to see how I get along with the general shape of the WRH7 + with the added benefit (for me) of lots of knurling.

It’s always worth it to continue to experiment with things occasionally even when you find something you like. For quite some time I’ve been partial to the solid 90mm handle variety...on both the WR1 and WR2 heads. I’ve been spending dedicated time with the 1.25 head I have and decided to try a 3/7 hybrid I had in the drawer that came as part of a BST razor purchase. Slightly lighter and longer than I prefer it still looks and feels great but it also worked just as well and debatably better than the H1/H2 I am used to. Nothing super scientific or concrete here but possibly slight changes in grip located and pressure lent itself to this head and produced a better result. All I know is I liked it and now I have a new metric to track as I continue to enjoy the WR2’s.

Well ... some people here are gonna think I'm nuts ... that's debatable ... but ... if you can't get along with a WRH handle, and you have a drill press with a machinist's vise ... Don't hate me ... My modified WRH3 96mm. It may not be pretty, but it is great to shave with   

I’m really enjoying my 80mm WRH2. I like shorter handles with a lot of knurling. This one nails both.

I am reminded that just as it does for golf clubs, slimmer narrower grips may promote as increase in grip pressure which may or may not be beneficial to how your hands move. If someone finds they are suffering from too much pressure or pinching between the thumb and index finger, possibly experimenting with a wider diameter handle may be beneficial. Fortunately Wolfman offers not only a variety of lengths and weights, but also multiple widths especially in the area where the thumb and index finger interact with the handle.

Yep...at 95mm, it's about 5mm longer than the max I usually go for.
