Where is the balance point on the handle in this configuration? And is this gap a little more efficient than the GC .84 OC? Sorry for all the questions just really excited and want to get it right.
I have the 125 SB with the 80mm #1 handle. The top grip is right at the balance point. A solid 90 mm handle is going to be pretty heavy. I kind of wish I had gotten a hollow handle for mine.

Whelp, it's kinda laughable, but I submitted my Google order form last night. I express it this way because given he's still on Day 1 orders, I might've switched back to carts & canned gel by the time my number comes up. I kid, I kid.

Honestly, I've never internalized the siren call of Wolfman, and frankly, never quite grasped the cult-like following. I still really don't, to be sure. However, assuming I can maintain my interest over the long wait, I might as well see what it's all about.

Ohh, I think I read that the WR2 SB 1.15 was similar to the GC 84 OC so I was looking for a bit more efficiency. This will be my first Wolfman and idk what to expect to be honest. I hope the gap won’t bite me too much.

I need to read-up on the WR2's characteristics, especially regarding blade exposure. I'm much more concerned with that than gap. I figure I can easily adjust technique in response to large gap, but blade exposure is trickier for me to deal with.

I actually find my 1.05 more efficient than my GC OC.

I received my Wolfman today.  I was a Sept 7, 1:31 pm order, for those tracking.

Mine is DC 1.15 and 1.25 both in solid bar.  This is likely a once in a lifetime purchase.  I went back and forth about the gaps, so I got both.  I shave every day and sometimes feel like pushing the efficiency.  I’ve never used one, so I really don’t know what to expect.

The handle is hollow and feels great.  Based on the size of it, I think solid would have been way too heavy for me.  My current favorite handle is the Weber wave.

The regular finish is beautiful and plenty shiny for me.

First shave is tomorrow!

I paired a hollow WRH1 64gm with a 33gm WR2 SS head...found the balance perfect.
Imagine the non hollow would be handle heavy, perhaps adding to the weight you exert
on strokes. Perhaps.

I've been working my way through this entire thread after having not paid any attention to all matters Wolfman the past couple of years. Thanks to all who have kindly taken the time to share pics and thoughts.

Special shoutout to pork as I have thus far (as of post #192) really taken to heart his vivid description of how he uses his 1.15 / 1.05 DC. I find it very instructive. It is giving me much to think about......and I have A TON of time to think before I have to worry about a final configuration, hahaha.

Not true. My wr2 1.15 is equivalent to the blackbird in closeness/efficiency after 3 full passes(but wayyyy smoother). It is way more efficient than the GC84 Oc. This is my take from experience. The Wolfie is misleading how efficient it is due to its smoothness. GL with your decision.
