Yeah, it really is - that's the WR1 I managed to acquire a few years ago before James closed his waiting list the first time.  If I were to do anything different, or manage to get another one, I wouldn't go without the combination SB/OC - I find the safety bar side to more efficient.  I wonder if the open comb side just doesn't compare well for me vs the safety bar side and whether I'd even notice the difference if I had a double open comb version.  Who knows but I do know this - I thought that combination razors were great early on but now I prefer either all double safety bar or double open comb.

I used to prefer having one of each, an OC and an SB, but I've come to like the DC quite a bit. I find either head to be great, with the suitable gap for my personal preference. Different strokes for different folks 

Received  my WR2 with a WRH2 handle basic polished,  .95 gap. First shave was very smooth. Filled out the form for a WR2 1.05 gap. Now the waiting  beings once more.

Hey guys, I received a follow up email from Wolfman and I opted for the WR2 1.25 SB and the 90mm WRH1. Where is the balance point on the handle in this configuration? And is this gap a little more efficient than the GC .84 OC? Sorry for all the questions just really excited and want to get it right.

I think you're going to like it. WR2 @ 1.25 is a great shaver. I don't know the game changer, but the 1.25 SB is smooth as silk, and very efficient. The 90mm is my preference, and either the H1, or the H2 will never slip in your hand. If it turns out you don't like the 90 H1 I have a recently purchased WRH1 100mm I picked up on the last drop, before the google form. I'd swap for a 90mm.

Awesome thanks for the advice. I’m excited and nervous about not making the right choice and thanks for the trade offer. Seems like I made the right choice, I value a grippy handle over anything.

Can someone please post a side by side comparative picture of the basic brushed finish next to a satin brushed finish? Also, has anyone gotten a satin brushed head with a basic brushed handle? Could you post a picture? Thanks.
