Different strokes for different folks  Smile

I have WR2 in DC 1.15 OC/1.25 SB, and another WR2 in 1.25 OC.

Love them both, but if I had it to do over I'd have gotten the DC 1.25 for both combs

Then again, my order ... when it comes up ... is for 1.55 DC

I have a WR2 1.25 DC and love it but when my number pops my next one will be another DC and this time 1.45OC/1.55SB. At this rate, I won’t get my final email for several months. Mine was placed around September 23rd. Maybe he will be taking titanium orders by that time.

It was 97 pages back whenI got the itch in early 2019...and yes, I had to read and re-read many times to get the hang
of what was being discussed. now it's three times longer

I'm the guy who posted about Wolfman's new email ordering system within an hour after I placed my order on the afternoon of September 6, within an hour or two after he posted the new system. At the time, there wasn't yet a lot of learning on the forum about blade gaps on the WR2, but I went with the WR2 1.35 OC, which I love. I sent another order shortly after receipt of the 1.35 OC, for the WR1 .94. When my number comes up, I'll likely change it to a 1.55 OC WR2. I love my new Wolfman (I also have a .74 WR1 OC), but I find the WR2 very smooth, and could use a little more blade feel.

I started at post #1 and have read every single post..
Your question is who's gonna slog through this thread
Reading every  page, Well I've read every post
On every page in this thread and I'd wager heavy
That a lot guys on the waiting list with little to no
Experience with various Wolfman razor configurations
Not only read every page but also found it to be Not
only a fascinating read but a compelling one as well..
SoThere you have it  from one man on the waiting list
Point of view.

Besides private conversations I have had with some individuals, I have not found a better publicly available source of information on the WR2. Thank you all for that.

I don't have as much as experience as most of you all and I could be wrong on this but I have never read posts about a razor that changed the classification level of BBS. It used to be you a BBS, DFS, etc. The razor felt smooth or had blade feel, etc. Now we have categories where it's BBS and how long it lasts. It's really fascinating - I have never read that before.

I'm curious if any of you all have gotten BBS without going ATG and if so how did you make that happen? What gap did you use?

ETA - I just reread this and I know it seems crazy to ask about getting BBS w/o going ATG but 10+ hours of BBS seems crazy to me too so I thought why not ask.

Fascinating, right?
I've read the 1.35 BBS lasts about 12 hours.
With the 1.55 I went about 27 hours before I felt a shave might be in order.
Would be great to have a few posts with people documenting
their gap and how many hours of BBS it gives them...I imagine folks would find that
easier to comprehend than gaps.

Dragonsbeard Frankie, was the first person I saw mention variations to BBS. He has a level system 1, 2, or 3 to rate his shaves. I don't know the definitions, maybe he can chime in...but yeah, all BBS shaves are not created equal. It's seems like an odd concept but totally true.

The duration of the shave is how I can definitively tell you one razor cuts closer than the other.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I haven’t worked through that many (or any of your stated) razors yet, and in many cases the comparisons in threads are lacking critical information on how one shaves and the desired shave result.

Oh well, I guess now I have a reason to go do more first degree “research”. Smile

Timeless 0.95 OC is on my wish list and I would like to try an E or F base plate for Karve since the D is working well for me. Based on what I have read, I have at least 10 months until my spot, so plenty of time to dig myself deeper into this hole.

+1 Timeless. I just got a Timeless Ti 0.95 SB and it is fantastic. Really liking it. The polish on the titanium is great. Wolfman only offers a brushed Ti finish. Plus you can purchase a Timeless NOW.
