As I said, to my eye, the differences are stark. Im sure the shaves aren't vastly different. The basic would be
the one if budget considerations are a priority, although I suspect many would veer towards basic polished.
The SS brushed satin finish is very very close to brushed Ti....altho the Ti looks more grey while SS looks more silver.
Brushed Basic:
Satin:
You were right about the differences in the brushed finishes to be more noticeable than in the polished finishes.
Frank, they look the same to me, congrats!

The grain of the metal is more visible on the SB,
the DC appears to have a better polished finish to my eyes....
Exactly!
The first thing I noticed was the grain, especially visible on the border between light and dark. The razor on left shows more grain. Of course, this is provided the effect is not caused by the depth of field of the camera rendering the razor closer to the camera ever so slightly out of focus.

Hi Jimmy
Well Jimmy when comparing my WR2 Ti 1.25 OC side to my 1.35 SB side the 1.35 is noticeably more efficient but not by a whole lot. With that said Generally an OC is a tad more efficient than an SB because the space between the teeth bring the blade closer to the skin and in some cases/razors squeezing the skin while cutting. So In my findings there is just a tiny bit more efficiency on an OC side of a DC with a WR1 head and you really have to really focus in to feel it. With the WR2 head I feel the difference is more pronounced between the OC and SB.. I don’t think the OC side is a whole number up but if there were such a thing I’d say a half step up. I also have done a comparison using a 1.25 OC in SS vs a 1.25 in Ti and I much prefer the face feel of the Ti over the SS model.
Of course that’s just my findings. Others may see it differently.

So I sent a message back to James thanking him for the extra polishing he did on my razor and added a photo of both the new razor and my high polished WR2 Titanium and mentioned I can’t see a difference and he wrote back the message below. All I can say is I knew his standards are high as far as fit and finish but if mines a basic finish then his standards are even higher than I realized and my respect for his work ethics just went up a few more notches and they were already very high.
Thank you Frank, very glad you like the polishing. This 'basic' polish is very different from the higher level polish to me, but that's after 5 years of working on these.
Enjoy!

Hey gang I've had the opportunity to try a member's gen 1 Tradere and to my bespectacled eyes the mirror polished Tradere head seems very similar to a mirror polished Wolfman head as I can easily see my reflection in it. Any ideas gentlemen ? Anyone objectively been able to measure a polish's "gloss" or "reflective ability" ?
