It's Hedley that’s great, thank you. The basic brushed looks really good.

My pleasure.  My WR2 1.15 SB in basic brushed is my ideal razor and I am not certain the satin would improve the shave.  I think finish is a personal preference at that point more than having anything to do with performance.  Hard to say and I suspect I will never know.  I do have the BBS-1 in the mirror polish (and have had several other mirror polished Wolfies) and don't enjoy taking the extra effort to polish it after use each time, which is why the basic brushed appealed to me. Basic brushed costs less too, bonus.

Living on the edge
+1 on the ease involved with brushed finishes as well as Ti....no ned to obsess about keeping them clean.
Just rinse and pat dry....brush them with hand soap maybe once every two weeks.

Can anyone post side by side pictures of a basic brushed and satin razor? Tester's comment earlier on has sparked my curiosity in seeing the differences between the two. Thanks.

I would suggest that the 'Basic brushed' finish would better be described as a 'Brushed machine' finish ( to understand more clearly the difference) to obtain the more expensive Satin Matte finish requires quite a different & more skilled process-requiring first high polishing plus a mild brushing process giving the amazing deep lustre finish of 'Satin Matte', unlike the basic polish vs Mirror polish which can look close in finish.......YMMV......

LOVE that Satin Matte finish!......that is a Craftsman's skill equal to 'Mirror finish'....

So in the next day or so the next 15 orders will get the invoice email.

My WR2 Ti tracking # said originally expected delivery date 12/9 but I just checked it again just to be sure and it said out for delivery today! That’s 5 days early. Now I can’t wait to get home from work and see it as it’s my first non high polished Wolfman razor.

Placed my order Sept 7. Had the automated reply, but nothing since.
Only wanted a WR2 head 1.15 OC (no handle).
Nothing since then...might be a long wait (sigh).
