If he is actually still taking orders from me...you have little to worry about brother. To characterize DuFour as "accommodating" falls short. I wouldn't fret, were I you.

GC84 is more comfortable, maybe marginally less efficient than WR-2 1.15.
BlackBird is far more efficient, and more comfortable for me even with greater blade feel than WR-2 1.15.
L2 is similar to WR-2 1.15, but more comfortable.
L3 is more efficient, about the same in terms of comfort, with more blade feel.

I am thinking about getting a 1.25 when I receive my invoice.

The 1.45 Ti has me really looking at my collection, it is really smooth. I definitely need to do a side by side against my smoothest razors and against my most efficient. Some razors I will never sell as they are special, ie the Paradigm 1 my son in law got for me the day my granddaughter was born and my CG Lev 3 brass the kids got for me for Fathers Day. I do have the Tatara Nadochi and H&S razors on the way to me.

What's the difference between the WR1 and WR2?

Don’t over think it. I find the 1.05 more efficient than level 2 fwiw

The H&S No75 is one of the smoothest most efficient razors I have ever used.

My first WTG pass was really enough, but I did my routine ATG pass anyway ... that with a brand new Feather blade. If I get the invoice I'm going WR2 1.55 for sure.

Hopefully you can run it for some days in a row and let us know how she performs as a daily shaver.
Ahh, my bad, here is a pic which I think can give an idea of the blade gap. My benevolent friend told me to keep the razor over the weekend and return it on Monday. Great guy ! So though I would normally shave every other day, I followed yesterday's shave using the same Feather blade. I didn't 'look' like I needed a shave, but could feel stubble.

MDC Vetyver soap, Shavmac D0-1 two band (nice & scritchy) and the WR2 1.55 SB was just great again. I anticipated I might have some burn/irritation, but that was not the case. I will say that I use no pressure. The razor does the work. Being an old straight razor shaver for multiple years I always stretch my skin, and being 70 years old, I had better.  Rolleyes

Anyway ... paraphrasing 'Dr Strangelove', if you're old enough to remember, 'How I learned to stop worrying, and love the 1.55 gap.'

I believe I started this storm of activity. I got an email from James about 2:00 (Seattle time) on September 6 in response to an email I’d sent him, informing me about a new email order form accessible from his website. I filled out the order form about an hour later. Within minutes, I got a Google response confirming the order, and a note that I would be receiving an invoice shortly. I got the invoice about 20 minutes later. I paid it immediately.

Seven days later, on the 13th, I got a shipping notice. Tracking tells me my razor will arrive tomorrow.

Granted, I was at or near the top of the que, but I’m impressed with James’s new system, based not only on my own experience, but on the experiences of others relayed on this thread and elsewhere. James seems to always be improving his business.

My man! It looks scary but I know it's not. That particular razor looks more "lightly" brushed than some of the other photos I've seen recently. Could just be the lighting.

Keeps us posted on how she behaves over the weekend.

Thinking of 1.25SB ( currently have and comfortably use 1.05SB and 1.15SB), a 90mm handle with hollow option ( currently only have 90mm solids and a 3/7 hybrid solid), and maybe going for the WRA2 stand (only have a few A1 stands and would like a more grand option for the razor that’s currently in use). I originally asked for satin brushed on this email request but will modify to high polish to be able to mix and match the collection at will.
