He has given me options to make my purchase a happy one. I wanted to make it clear, I am in no way attacking him or his work, I just wanted others to know what a brushed finish in Titanium is, as I obviously was confusing brushed Ti with what he used to offer as a brushed SS finish, which I believe is now an added cost.

Yeah I believe you’re not alone there insofar as being confused.

Imo he would be well served to clarify what folks are buying on the titanium razor page. Just my unsolicited 2 cents lol

I also figured that his brushed Ti would be close to his SS brushed satin finish. It never occurred to me
that it would be akin to his basic brushed SS finish.

Ive seen at least 4-5 other brushed Ti razors here in the past few days...would be great if the owners could let us know if they
notice the same 'scratches' as JD refers to them.

here's the inside of the Ti cap of the razor I received last week - not a great picture, but the finish seems uniform to me....

This was James response to my questions about the finish that I couldn’t put a picture of it in.

Thanks Mark. For the record, your photos show a typical brushed finish under the cap. The outer side should appear glossy by comparison.

Feel free if you have any other questions or concerns. Polished finish, I just stopped offering this because it's time consuming and I have a lot of customers waiting. Additionally the polishing results are better on stainless.

Regards,
James

I applaud James for focusing on his waiting customers, rather than polishing.

Mark if you want to polish the Titanium or if anyone needs to polish their razors try taking it to a jeweler as they know about shiny stuff. You could also check with an auto body friend/hobbiest or any friends that maintain their own Harleys.

Best of luck. AJ

Posting this to ask for advice - I just receive a confirmation email from James for the google form I submitted a couple of weeks ago (so they're coming!)
I've been following this thread about WR2 head gaps - I received a titanium 1.25SB a couple of weeks ago and like it a lot - I shave pretty much every weekday, and while it's fine and comfortable, it's probably as high a gap as I'd like.
On the google form (after reading LOOT's post about the 1.05SB SS razor), that's what I requested - more of a daily shaver. I'm thinking I'll stay with that gap, but wanted to hear any thoughts about why that may not be the best choice before I reply to James Smile
Thanks!!
