I've been following this thread about WR2 head gaps - I received a titanium 1.25SB a couple of weeks ago and like it a lot - I shave pretty much every weekday, and while it's fine and comfortable, it's probably as high a gap as I'd like.
On the google form (after reading LOOT's post about the 1.05SB SS razor), that's what I requested - more of a daily shaver. I'm thinking I'll stay with that gap, but wanted to hear any thoughts about why that may not be the best choice before I reply to James Smile
Thanks!!

It's Tuff for anyone else but your FACE to say... It depends how course your beard, and how sensitive your Skin.

I love my SB 1.15, I get the Closest Shave w/o irritation of all my Razors including a Timeless SB .95.

But... If I used it more than 3 days in a row... My face will start to show small signs...(Small), of distress. If I continued, it would get beat up, some bumps etc. I day or so in between with a Timeless SB .68, and I'm good To go, and go back to the Wolfie...

So... I save using it for When I need to leave early, and want to look clean shaven late into the Evening. Or on Special Events.

I put a Mild & Smooth, but still decently sharp Blade, like The Permasharp in my Timeless .68, and I can make 3 Solid passes + Cleanup, Day in / Day Out... With No Problems. So that's what I use when appearance is not that important.

I would certainly think you could not go wrong with the 1.05, or Maybe, the 1.15... It's just a Question of, How much Can You Push It!

Best,

Tony

Congrats Ian that was quick. I only have 4 shaves in with my Ti 1.45 SB but it has been 4 days in a row with no irritation, nicks or cuts. Face still feels good. The increased efficiency let’s me use less strokes to get the same results.

Thanks Mark - that *was* quick - and frankly unexpected given my recent titanium acquisition. I'm grateful to James for filling my order, regardless.
So good to hear about your 1.45 Ti - I wonder if you think it'd feel the same in SS (which is what this order is) ... I'm just hesitant to order a razor that'll be too aggressive for me - I like the Ti 1.25, so decided to fill a gap at the lower end for daily use (although it seems that's what your 1.45 is doing for you Smile ) - I found the blackbird and the CG Level 3 to be a bit too much for me, so I admit I'm a gunshy wuss...

I'm fortunate to have razors that will pretty much fill any gap I need, although unlike LOOT, they're not all Wolfies Smile

Ian, what finish have you chosen for the latest Wolfman?
Also, can you remember how long after the google form being uploaded to JDF's site, that you sent your response?

Hi Tim - I ordered the basic polished finish .... I just checked - Scott alerted the forum to the email form possibility on 9/6, so that's when I would have uploaded my google form - got confirmation and an invoice today - 10 days later...

Thanks - I'm a good few hours behind when it was uploaded (i think - hard to know since i'm in Australia).
I still don't know what finish i will choose - i was 100% on the basic polished, but have since seen some pics showing some marks on them. Then i started thinking Brushed Satin, but someone then mentioned that once it gets a scratch, it aint coming out.
Then i started thinking to keep an eye out for a Ti one....

I've had a few mirror polished for years, without a scratch to this day, except where the handle abuts the bottom of the base plate. I had a satin finish years ago that was beautiful, and never a scratch ... sold it. When I ordered a WR2 recently I got the satin polished finish again. It is beautiful, and worth the extra $ IMO. When it is not next to the mirror polished cousins I almost think it is one of them !

Well after using my Ti WR2 for quite awhile I am having quite the difficulty using a stainless Wolfman due to the increased weight. Maybe I'll use a SS head paired with a Ti handle to keep it light.
