Is there a difference in efficiency between SB and OC? Or is it just a difference in face feel?

I don't really know. I have an OC 1.15 on one Ti head and a 1.15 SB on my other. I'll test it out sometime.

Random, unsupported theory for the day:

My gut feel is that in order to see any appreciable difference between gaps, one might need to go two gaps higher (or lower) instead of one.

On a tape measure, 1.15 and 1.25 would probably look the same to the naked eye.

I can definitely feel the difference between my WR1’s when I jump up one gap size, say from a .67 to a .74. I especially notice it in terms of efficiency and how long the shave lasts, but I also get more blade feel with the increased gap. If I used the .67 on one side of my face and the .74 on the other, I would definitely be able to tell the difference. I’m looking forward to trying this comparison with the WR2 Head.

I had my first Shave with my Ti WR2 1.15 the other day, and I really enjoyed it. It was very smooth, and gave me a solid 8 hour BBS shave. I’m looking forward to comparing my SS 1.15 to the Ti 1.15 to see if I notice any difference in the Shave other than weight. I’m also looking forward to comparing the shaves I get with my WR2 Ti 1.25 vs 1.15. I want to compare smoothness between the two, as well as the efficiency I can get out of them.

Gorgeous!!!! That's the same setup I want except with a smaller blade gap. Congrats!

my wr1 is OC, so I can't comment on that vs wr1 SB, but the Timeless .95 OC is definitely more efficient than the .95 SB

Experience with wr1 dc from 0,48 thru 0,67, have found oc noticably more aggressive. Perspective is shaving aggression 2 steps more with face feel perhaps 1 step more.

I noticed a fair amount of difference between the 1.05 and 1.15. Like you I didn't think that small of an amount would even be noticeable but here's a pic of the 2 side by side. The gap difference is more obvious in Person versus through a picture.[Image: WXO8GOP.jpg]

I'm loving the gap on the 1.15 in your pic above....begs the question whether anything more is necessary.

Oh yeah, more is absolutely necessary. Smile

So how many WR2 users here are still using your WR1s? Often?
