Glad you got it out....those marks on the underside of the top plate are a little hard to identify in a pic....scratch, smudge or scuff?
Unless the customs dept of your country opened the package to inspect and mishandled it.

What kind of cloth to use with Flitz? Used Flitz and a microfiber on one of my polished stands once and it came away with more scratches than it started with...

Wolfman WR2 DC 1.15/1.05 Ti vs SS - The Rematch

I switched the SS to the right side of my face and the Ti to the left side today. I didn't do any touch ups, buffing, etc either today or yesterday. Just two simple passes, N to S and S to N, to cut down on any variables. In terms of efficiency, I had the opposite results today. The Ti side was smoother, like it was yesterday with the SS. Apparently, the left side of my face is gnarlier than the right side.

My conclusion is that there is no significant difference between Ti and SS, all other things being equal. If there is a difference, to me, it's imperceptible.  So, if you're on the fence, know that you probably won't notice much of a difference between the performance of the two. Either you want a heavy (solid SS handle), medium (hollow SS), or light razor (Ti). Hollow SS adds $30 CND. Ti adds $150 CND. I find the light weight of the Ti more comfortable than the hollow SS WRH2 handle. I'm looking forward to using the Ti WR2 for some complete shaves now that I'm done testing them.

I've used Flitz on brass and bronze Wolfman razors, not stainless yet because I've had no need. I don't believe there is any way Flitz could scratch stainless or any other metal. My guess would be the cloth you used. I bought a big pack of microfiber cloths from Sam's for $15 or so and have seen no ill effects on my razors. A friend here sent me this one Flitz Microfiber Polishing Cloth. It's the best one I've seen/held. I'll grab a couple more with the next Amazon order. Hope this helps.

I wanted a light SS handle without going hollow....the Darwin was perfect at 57 gms.

It's a shame he doesn't offer WRH-1 in hollow or i might have been reconsidered.
Gorgeous design that.

You can get the WRH1 hollow. It's an option that can be added in a dropdown menu on the purchase page. The hollow WRH1 will weigh as much as the hollow WRH2, 64g

I weighed my four Wolfmans yesterday (with blade installed) to compare them. From heaviest to lightest:

WR2/WRH2 (hollow) SS - 98g
WR1/Darwin SS - 83g
WR2/WRH2 Ti - 72g
WR2/WRH7 T- 60g

Previous page...really short. Look for the dueling Wolfmans. (Wolfmen?)
