There are some razors that put a smile on your face. My CG Lvl 2 Gen 2 base plate copper and gen 4 cap is one of them. It makes me marvel the razor and how efficient and smooth it cuts while shaving.

I am hoping to get same or more from a wolfman, I am thinking of 1.05 SB and 1.15 OC for now in DC.

Hope it can match up to the expectations set very high by my CG razor.

Now if only I can get one Smile unicorns do exist!

WR2 SB 1.25, polished, Hybrid WRH 7-3 hollow…, but this is from 5/17 drop … Just wanted to say, not all razors were sent to new owners yet ...

I also received shipping notification for my WR2 - 1.15 SB, WRH2 90mm (Hollow), Polished. I regret not ordering a stand with it :/. I am very excited, and slightly worried about this being a bit aggressive for an everyday, full 3 pass shaver.

It is for me. I use my 1.05 every day for weeks on end without issues. Can’t do that with my 1.15

I can go about 3 days then I start getting redness in some spots. I greatly prefer the feel and results of the 115 but I prefer shaving comfortably every day. So the 1.05 ti has effectively killed my RAD. I have a bunch of other REALLY nice razors and HAD a bunch more.

Between the wr2’s, CG level 2 and blackbird...I’m set. A paradigm and blackland se for variety and boom - den complete.

My WR2 1.15 SB is my ideal Daily Driver. If I had to choose just one Razor, this would be it. I hope yours suits you and is to your liking.

Thank you, Hunter. And I hope it is for me as well.

BlackBird and CG Level 2 are probably my No-2 and No-4 favorite razors. I did not however like Pradigm Ti-2 I had at one point. I am inclined to say my taste in razor might be similar to yours.

I will try to get a 1.05 as well. Since I have stopped buying anything else (Soaps/AS/Brushes/Hones), I am looking to try a few more razors this year.

I sold it and went .95 and it was 'just like downtown.' Smile On my phizzog the CG LV 2 is equivalent to the Timeless .68.

Here's where things get complicated. A Wolfman SB & OC .61 gives me a great shave, as does a Blackbird ... IIRC Shane said they are .58 ? So it is more than gap. This is why it is confusing regarding which WR-2 to go for.

Comparing a .74 and/or .86, both of which I have, to what guys are posting regarding the 1.05, 1.15 and 1.25 ... what to do ? I am not a rich guy, and aside from the difficulty of ordering any of them from James ... being in the right place at the right time ... @ $300 a pop I want to get it right the first time ... I'm going 1.25 DC if I ever get the chance ... Blush

Based on what you have shared, I would hazard a guess that you would like a 1.25 SB. I wouldn't
go lower. But 1.25 won't be far from a 0.86 wr1 which isn't far from a CG Lvl3 (apart from the trademark smoothness of Wolfman)

Have you considered a 1.35? Thats the next one up the chain and the highest gap he offers off the menu.
