Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

Yea I hadn't factored in the email orders. He had mentioned that as an option
last time, but the trade off was to hold back for a while before going that route.
Patience, definitely not my strong suit.

He really is a fair bloke who wants as many people as possible to enjoy his razors.

I just ordered a WR2 - SB, 1.05, WRH2(Hollo), 90mm. I am wondering whether I should have gone for 1.15 or higher.

I am a daily shaver, 3 passes always. Whenever I have 2 or more days growth, I use a straight razor. Other razors I like - CG lvl2, BlackBird, GameChanger 84 (and 34C, obviously). What do you guys think, 1.05 or 1.15?

I think you should email him with your order no in the subject line and switch to 1.15
If you like CG L2, Blackbird etc...this is the ticket. No question. I learned this fro Loot

I'm in the same position - ordered a WR2 DC 1.05 - I like the CG L2, blackbird (which is a bit aggressive), Timeless Bronze 38 - and also liking my WR1 .74 .... would you suggest changing to a DC or SB 1.15?

Go for the 1.15. I have a 1.05 that doesn't see much use since getting the 1.15. A slight amount more blade feel on first pass than cg lvl2 but diminished each following pass. However to me I get a much closer shave with 1.15. Right in that sweet spot. I like the 1.15 so much I want another in Ti.

But I will say if using daily you'll probably need a day a week off for your skins sake.

FWIW....as luck would have it, I was able to engage Mr DuFour today in an email exchange. Not that anyone reading this cares, or would ever consider ordering a 1.45mm WR2, other than me, but he believes there is enough material to accomdate. Although as Mr.DuFour pointed out, " I'm not sure I have the proper clearance for shipping dangerous goods across the border". We are still in conversation about the need for my mental health evaluation before he agrees. I may need a note from Mommy. He may require a video to analyze my technique. He may refuse. His perrogotive, but that's not the point.

Based on the tone of the exchange, it is painfully obvious no soul has every broached the subject.

There are lots of people on these forums that talk with certainty. They will type it enough times that you will believe it. They even believe it. Take it as gospel...but this is how rumors and falsehoods are spread. About products and individuals. We all played the game as kids, whispering around a circle.

People who speak with certainty on subjects without direct, first hand knowledge are fools. I too can be foolish, but I try not to put myself in a position be easily proven a liar or pushing false information unknowingly.

I'm so glad you cleared up the cloudy rumors about this subject! Of course James may have forgotten an email response he sent to a member who also asked the question and got a similar but different response that at that time he would not do it but we all know you have a very special relationship with Mr. Dufour so maybe he reconsidered.

Also you're not the only crazy person that would order that gap as dangerous as it may be LOL

You know what James and this is the last response you'll get from me. First off I wasn't spreading any BS about your relationship with James! You have bought more Wolfman razors than any other person I know and have been able to talk to him after every purchase as most people can so that's no different I know but who gets a response from him like you do? Yeah! In fact you seemed to just bypass the little joke I threw in about me being as crazy as you for a 145 and I've tried throughout all the threads on the other thread to be as gentlemanly even when you're digging in for a confrontation. I stayed calm and didn't get into it with you.

I don't kiss anyone's ass you fool. You are the one who started this whole thing and if you think for one moment that I haven't caught all your little snide remarks in any thread you post in that I'm involved with well then you must think I'm blind. Others that know the situation know the truth. I've even tried to compliment you on posts and good points when you bring this up.
