Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

Tara is running cover for James pretty good.  If it ain't on the menu, you ain't getting it.  Totally sucks.  I ordered a head only, for a friend.  I think I'm officially done with Wolfman.  It is not the brand it used to be.  No accommodation, no longer single handed, etc.

Bummer, I'm sure you've been a good customer.

Good question...and to clarify. I asked for a 1.85. She said, James doesn't recommend going over 1.65. So maybe? I don't know. I also asked for a 3XL hollow handle, no dice. It is considered custom now I guess.

I'm not too terribly concerned with it. I got in at just the right time and have more than I need. Fun while it lasted. Made more so by actually getting to interact with the man himself. The thrill is gone as BB sang. I really just wanted a handle or two....but at $240 each, I'm kinda glad they turned me down. Add $60 to it and get a Ti Blackbird.

As long as the market tolerates poor quality and basic finishes, that's exactly what the market will get. That is a sharp departure from what built the brand tho.

Yeah. I haven't used it. I told him I got better finish in 2019. If he is OK, I ask to return it. 
He said He was happy to refund me.

Ah, the ole 'if you're not happy, you can return it (there are hundreds of others queuing)'
This is why I prefer his brushed basic...it's very workman-like

Does anyone have any pics of the Brushed / Basic Matte and the Brushed / Satin to compare? Is it worth the upgrade?

I take it the one on top is the Brushed / Basic Matte, right? You don't have a pic of them side x side do you? That is more of what I was looking for but thank you for posting the pics...

Have owned both.

The basic brushed looks just fine on its own....if you put it next to brushed satin, it will look insipid while the satin will
have a wonderfully lustrous and voluminous sheen to it.

Yes; satin is worth the upcharge IMO....you might take a little while too sell it though.

Not worth the upcharge in my honest opinion. Not a huge difference to me at least. 

To me, the last picture above captures the difference.....it expresses visually what I said verbally
