I still cling to the theory that the differences in WR2 efficiency would be most acutely felt when you skip a gap.

If correct, the most relevant gaps for me would then be 1.05, 1.25 and 1.45....mild, efficient and just plain crazy.
Although Im sure I could live very well with just the last two.

Further testing is needed.

What's the highest blade gap you've tried on the WR2?

a 0.86 WR1....I find it a bit tame (for a 2+ day growth).
on WR2, 1.15
Ive always shied away from describing my beard as tough as it sounds excessively
macho to me...but I think reality must be faced.

See, the 1.05 is where the magic happens for daily shaving

Well, I've read 147 pages on the Wolfman Razor.
I've learned a few things:
- There are a lot enthusiastic owners here.
- Most seem to think it's their best shaver, and worth the cost and hassle.
- I'd like to acquire a Wolfman.
- I think the right one for me would be the SS 1.15 WR2 on a hollow H2 handle.
- There must be drop approaching sometime soon.
- I have zero confidence that I'll be able to pick one up. Big Grin

I'm at a stage where I'm trying to pare down my collection of shave gear to only my few favorites (four or five razors max). I have three razors in the permanent rotation and I think a Wolfman might be a 4th.
I wasn't even close to getting one the last drop, and I've tried the direct method to no end. Any other tips from the happy owners?

Recently got Ti version of WR1 which I can compare with the same blade gap in SS and I was more than impressed.

Congrats on the new razor. Posting about new gear without a photo is a party foul!

Which WR1 Ti you get?

For me it works another way. .95 and 1.15 were under my required level of efficiency and although there was skip between gaps those were quite similar for me. 1.25 is at my required level and there I can feel considerable jump in efficiency. The same with 1.35. Hope my words make sense.

Did James release any Ti lately! I know for sure that the last 4 drops was only SS. Where do you guys acquire those Ti razors?

They do....I think it all depends on finding/stumbling upon the minimum efficiency that does it for you.
In my case, the 1.15 does work but need to do touch-ups...makes me think 1.25 will be the minimum
gap for my needs...and then maybe skip a gap and go 1.45....for extreme days.
