I have and enjoy those same 3. My Wolfman is a Titanium dual comb with a .74 gap. I think it is very comparable. I might even suggest going to .80 as a friend of mine has that one and says it is still smooth and very efficient
As always everyone is different...but I have shaved with a .61 standard gap, .67, and .74 (all open comb) and have found that they all get me there in 2 passes. I don’t have the worlds heaviest growth but it comes in pretty full and I only shave every 3-4 days so there is always a nice amount of stubble to remove. The only differences are very slight increases in efficiency but a palpable increase in blade feel. All produce irritation free shaves for me. I have no desire right now to experiment with anything less than .61. For others that may be different.
Hey Sean-
I’ve got all of the above mentioned Razors, and they are some of my favorites as well. I’ve got Wolfman Razors in .67 and .74 in both SB and OC. I can get BBS shaves with all of them, but if my goal was two passes plus touch ups I would go with a .74 Blade Gap. For me the .74 SB and OC are both smooth and plenty efficient. Hope this helps.

Thanks hunter. Is there a noticeable difference in feel between the 74 and 67?

For me there is a noticeable difference in blade feel between the .67 and .74, especially with the Open Combs. The .74’s are a touch more efficient for me as well all other things being equal. I typically do three passes plus touch up, and would recommend the .74’s just because of the increased efficiency.

Got the .61 Dual comb and a .80 Dual and there is a considerable difference in efficiency and blade feel between the two razors. WIth that said I'm going to compare the .80 to my .95 Dual comb Timeless SS as it's a match up that a friend of mine wants me to do. My gut tells me they will be very close.

I have all of the razors you mention except the 17-4. I'll have one of those in a couple of weeks.
I have a .74SB and an .80OC in the Wolfman razors. On my face, the Timeless 95 is just a tick more efficient and smoother than the .80OC. (I am the guy who asked Dragonsbeard to do the same comparison, side-by-side). The .80 is slightly more efficient than the .74, as one would expect....but the .80 is just as smooth. The next one I order will be the .86 if it's stainless. If I order another exotic material, it will likely be another .74 as I can run it every day....not that I do or want to.
You can't go wrong with the 74 or the 80...I guess it just depends on how your face works with the ones you have. If you can run a Timeless 95 daily...get the 80.
I should compare the Blackbird to the .74...that would be interesting. It's been a while since I ran the BB but it is such a great razor...more blade feel than anything in my den as I recall. The BB shaves way above what it's gap suggests. Shane tells me it's the extra exposure.

So far I have tried a 61 OC and a 67 DC. I greatly prefer the 67 plate on either side. I guess my main question is how different the 67 is from 74? I have a few more days to pick but as of now I am debating between the 67 and 74, most likely in the SB as it just seems smoother to me.
Thanks everyone!
