Posting Freak
All very interesting but I still think the man is doing his best with limited resources. In a free market a seller is entitled to sell for the highest price a buyer is willing to pay. Thats how it works. Supply and demand, competition and so on. I'm surprised actually that Wolfman hasn't raised his prices to the point that he is able to comfortably meet the demand. What would that price be? I suspect it would be a lot more than it is now. Why hasn't he done that? Is he crazy? Is he not very smart? Does he have a sense of fairness? Who knows? All of these reasons or maybe none of them. As for computer glitches, these vendors aren't computer experts, they're all using versions of shopify or something like it and as we've seen with other LE product releases, these systems aren't all that durable. Weird stuff happens without nefarious motives of the vendor behind it when there is overwhelming number of people trying to access it. I maintain that we ought to cut the man some slack.

Deleted. What's the point. I'm not one trying to get a WM.

I think this issue of honoring repeat customers over new one has been discussed previoulsy, in a wolf whiskers thread I believe.

That's where I pulled it from, an old thread. I figure some readers here may not know about that pertinent information. Deleted now though. People can dig it up if they want. I shouldn't be in this thread to begin with since I'm not a potential buyer.

Okay I would like to put everything in proper perspective. I was number 7 on the list so I got screwed and did not win the lottery. Does James make one of the best if not the best quality razor on the market today the answer is probably yes. I have the BBS 1 and a stainless steel standard bar and I actually like the way the BBS 1 shaves better because it feels smoother on the face. That being said there are other razors that shave as good or even better than my Wolfman and those are the Timeless razor, I have the scalloped head, the Blackbird and the Rockwell 6s. The build quality on all those are wonderful but still a notch below the Wolfman razors but as far as shave and availability goes there's no need to wait for a Wolfman when you have so many other choices as well as some of the ATT razors. And don't forget all the new wonderful SE razors that are now on the market So the choice is yours. Each person has to decide for themselves.

I've come here to say the same thing myself.

I'm a one-man show, and although I may hire a former co-worker, I don't know if that's enough.

My outlook has always been that if I remain working alone, there's  only so much work I'll be able to get done.   In other words if demand is strong, the competition is where customers will go when I have nothing available.    This should be the outcome.

But unfortunately, it's not the outcome.   My lack of availability is causing strange problems.    Some of the comments in this thread are both disturbing and outright offensive.    I don't get it.

If you want to wait, it's your choice.  I don't advise it, because other options are available.

I'm glad that you answered my thread. Just remember this is how the world is most people are not very balanced and have inner conflict that's not dealt with, therefore are looking for conflict in their lives. Just look at the world and all the conflict around us. I have that with you James in the past and I could only say you've been a wonderful person to do business with and a perfect gentleman. I do feel though how you handled the waiting list was not the best way. We are all human and we are all not perfect. And remember it's not what people say it's how you react or respond to what the people say. So if you feel you were doing your best be like a duck and let the water roll off your back.

I'm enjoying this read. It is like a soap opera. I don't know what happened, but I'll give James another shot, next month hopefully. But then again, this was just my first attempt getting on the list, so I can understand why some are more frustrated than I am.
