DFS community. I am looking for some feedback on the Wizamet blades as compared to the Polsilver blades. I have been a long time user of Polsilver blades one of my favorite blades and am looking to find a replacement blade since my Polsilver stock is running low. I hear it is the same blade just made in a different location. Thank you for any feedback.
Are you currently using the Polsilver Stainless or the Super Iridium? You mention being produced at a different location, the last time they were maid in Poland was the early 2000s I believe. There were the two varieties during this period. In the later period the Polsilver SI were made in St. Petersburg. There are pictures of the bevel elsewhere and they are not the same as modern Wizamets. Not hugely different, but not the same grind. You should probably head over to superiridium sooner than later and order a 250 considering the reasonably price and future uncertainty.

I can’t tell much of a difference between them on my face.
Both are really good blades.

I like both Polsilver SI and Wizamet SI....both have identical words printed on them.
Super Iridium/Extra Stainless
Hard to not see a connection.
If anything, I feel the Wizamet blades feel a little heavier/more substantial to the touch.
Both are superb.

The majority of Polsilver SI lovers have been pleased with the Wizamets, myself included. I have a good stash of the real Polsilvers as well as the fakes which are not as good. When I speak of Polsilvers, I am referring to the real ones. I face shaved with the same type of razor...with a Polsilver on one side and a Wizamet on the other side. For me, it is nearly impossible to find a difference between them. I think you will be pleased with the Wizamets. After you have a few shaves with them, let us know what you think.
