Who has tried LASSC old and new formulas and what do you think? I just learned of their new formula which is available in a couple different scents. I haven't tried their soaps yet because I felt the ingredients did not justify the price, and I won't even comment on the labels and presentation. All that aside, are they worth the price based on performance and scent? If anyone can compare them to an excellent non-tallow artisan like Soap Commander that would be best. They have some interesting scents and I read some good reviews of them so I'm still interested in at least trying a sample size if nothing else.

I have a few of them and I like them. The Bespoke #1 is a fairly unique, earthy scent as is Myrkvior. They are excellent performers, also the bay rum is a different take on the theme. I didn't know there was more than one formula so I assume I have the new one. I got them a year or two ago. I think you should try at least one, you can buy samples too. Men essentials carries it including sample sizes.

Thank you Marko. The new formula I think is more recent but I could be wrong. It is not used for Bespoke. I'm going off Maggard's selection which offers CCXIII and Myrkvior as having the new formula and the others are old formula. Below is what is listed for Myrkvior.
Ingredients:
Vegetable Stearic Acid, Beer, Potassium Hydroxide, Avocado Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Cocoa Butter, Labdanum Absolute (in Sunflower Oil), Whisky, Vanilla Extract, Rose Absolute (in Fractionated Coconut Oil), Cedarwood Essential Oil, Geranium Essential Oil, Orange Extract, Organic Black Spruce Essential Oil, Juniper Leaf / Berry Essential Oil

Is that a bad thing? Now you don't have to get that chemical peel. I'm kidding, I find it interesting how different people react differently to products. I like Bespoke and I think I have normal skin. I have had a burning skin reaction to Ginger's Garden Havana Cognac soap and its supposed to be for sensitive skin. Go figure.

Lol, I'm not sure what ingredient did it, but it was painful. I agree how some of us react differently to some soaps, even with basically the same ingredients.

If I remember correctly, it's not a new formula so much as they tweaked those two formulas specifically for the Myrkvior and CCXII. I believe that they substituted beer for water in the Myrkvior formula and cabernet sauvignon for water in the CCXII formula.
I could be wrong, but I'm feeling....maybe 85% certain on this one.

It has the addition of avocado oil and cocoa butter too. It may not be across the board but it is described as a new formula by LASSC. See below for their description of Myrkvior.
This soap came about as a result of a request for a custom soap from the /r/wet_shavers subreddit, and both the scent and the name were the result of popular votes on that subreddit.
This soap is the first to use a new soap formula from The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company which includes avocado oil and cocoa butter, and substitutes beer for water. The result is a nice light brown soap with an excellent thick lather, and an excellent post-shave feel.
The ingredients and essential oils in this soap combine to provide a subtle, warm, earthy, almost spicecakey scent. As I described the scent elsewhere, it’s almo
