Floid envy

Never encountered that AS label. How does it compare to the old label AS?
I have the three Floid AS labels shown in the picture below - this bottle, mentolado VIGAROSO, and "Black".  I don't know if Floid has offered other labels, but they seem to be making heavy use of "The Genuine" in marketing their current products.  That said, my short answer is that The Genuine in an improved version of the Vigaroso, and the Black is a different animal.  Those who want a long answer may proceed at their own risk. Smile  Confused2

The Genuine and the mentolado Vigaroso are similar in performance, including cooling.  The scents per se are similar too, but the Genuine scent is stronger and has very long legs for an aftershave.  It's worth mentioning, though, that the Genuine was purchased this month, whereas the Vigaroso is four years old, which may be affecting the sillage and longevity.  As for skin friendliness, the Genuine was a pleasant surprise, and I don't recall my skin feeling this well treated with the Vigaroso.  However, it has been a while since my last use of the Vigaroso, and we are talking about only one shave with the Genuine.  In any case, here are the ingredients:

GENUINE
Aqua (Water/Eau), Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Parfum (Fragrance), Menthol, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Thymus vulgaris (Thyme) Flower/Leaf Extract, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Salvia officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Acetum (Vinegar/Vinaigre), Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin, Limonene, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycitronellal, Amyl Cinnamal, Geraniol, Benzyl Cinnamate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citronellol, Tributyl Citrate, Sodium Benzotriazolyl Butylphenol Sulfonate, Buteth-3, Tris(Tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol) Citrate, CI 19140 (FD&C Yellow No. 5), CI 17200 (D&C Red No. 33), CI 42090 (FD&C Blue No. 1). (Source Floid)

mentolado VIGAROSO
Water, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Parfum, Coumarin, Limonene, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Benzyl Salicylate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Amyl Cinnamal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionene, Treemoss Extract, Benzyl Cinnamate, Benzyl Alcohol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Menthol, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Cl 19140 (Yellow 5), Cl 16255, Cl 73015.  (Source WCS)

Fougère, bol en frêne (Martin de Candre) fougère Friday
Shave 14

This brain bowl has been sitting in the top of a hot closet for months. I thought the scent would have disappeared, but when I lathered up today, it still smelled great. In fact, it smelled just like what a shave soap should smell like: a light, elegant fougère, free of skank.

I like the Astra blades for their flexibility. I can use them in almost all my razors with great results. But I don't care for how quickly they rust. I'm lucky to get three shaves out of a blade before I see the first traces of corrosion.
