Long Rifle is currently having a 20% off sale on their Etsy page.  Since I've never tried it but have heard great things about the soap, I decided to buy 3 which ended up giving me free shipping!  The scents are great...not overpowering (maybe a 6/7 out of 10) and, at least for the three i bought, are true to their description.  Decided to go with with Saranac this evening in an attempt to trick my mind into thinking the weather and hot sun really weren't that bad as i did yard work all day (it didn't work )

Thank you! Honestly, I never have time for a slow smoke, but glad I decided to hang around the house and do this today. Turned out really well for a first try!

I don’t know why this soap is also called Yo sólo . . .

An October 1780 hurricane scattered Galvez’s fleet and delayed his plans to attack Pensacola, England’s remaining outpost in Florida. Six months later, Galvez launched his offensive. His bold risk-taking led to a breakthrough. This soap sits on my barbershop shelf, as the scent registers with me as an excellent, fresh, clean-sweet, powdery, white-musk; however, I won't dispute your notion of suede, as that may offer more perspective into the fragrance.  Speaking of which, what colognes or perfumes do you like to use after this Yo Sólo?

J349 and swellcat Thanks for this bit of history and the link to the monologue. This is really interesting. I knew nothing about Gálvez until I picked up this soap. What an education wet shaving offers.
