I don’t know why this soap is also called Yo sólo . . .
Quote:An October 1780 hurricane scattered Galvez’s fleet and delayed his plans to attack Pensacola, England’s remaining outpost in Florida. Six months later, Galvez launched his offensive. His bold risk-taking led to a breakthrough. When a Spanish naval commander proved reluctant to expose his fleet to British fire by sailing into Pensacola Bay, Galvez went forward without him. “The ship entered the port without the least damage, not withstanding the great number of bullets that pierced the sails and shrouds,” reads a Spanish battle journal often attributed to Galvez himself, “and, with the tremendous applause of the Army who, with continuous ‘VIVAS,’ demonstrated to the General their delight and affection for him.”. — https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/l...180961782/
"Yo sólo" is the attributed quote, meaning, "I alone", as J349 noted.  It is dramatized here: https://youtu.be/AoLcU-Nr_lU?t=1818.

This soap sits on my barbershop shelf, as the scent registers with me as an excellent, fresh, clean-sweet, powdery, white-musk; however, I won't dispute your notion of suede, as that may offer more perspective into the fragrance.  Speaking of which, what colognes or perfumes do you like to use after this Yo Sólo?

Ethos Nuage de Citron.  What a wonderfully fresh and mild scent.  This is a winner.

RAD is just a permanently temporary condition.  I'll get over it.. eventually.

Murphy & McNeil St. James in the Slainte base (Oatmeal Stout)

For a refreshing change, the description given is entirely accurate:  "The special edition base, Slainte, is a premium product that leverages mutton tallow, duck fat, beef tallow, and best of all Irish stout beer to create a remarkably smooth shave we think you'll love. The fragrance on St. James is a delicious oatmeal stout or a very robust oatmeal cookie. "

The end result is a thick and rich lather, brown or tan in coloration.  The resulting shave is luxurious.

There are a few desert island soaps I would grab and Haslinger tallow is one of them. A hard little puck that is often mistaken for triple milled.  Close but not quite. Amazed every time I pick it up.

The viscous, gummy, jelly-like suds keeps me coming back for more. A unique lather amongst many great soaps.

Agreed. So mad i did not stockpile. Love the coconut and honey. Great lather.

Decided after 5 days without a shave I couldn’t take it anymore. So pulled out one of the more efficient razors I have left. The WR2 Ti 1.45/1.55 SB and the brush was sent to me from a good customer out of kindness as he heard of my fire where I lost all of mine. What a great brush! I have been craving Vetivert and it confirmed it’s one of my personal favorite warm weather scents. It’s not often I post my SOTD but this one was a very special one for me. I don’t know how many get that tiny whiff of dirty vetiver way at the bottom but it was definitely there today.

Enjoy your weekend!
