Oatmeal Stout — Mystic Water
Almond, butterscotch, and vanilla—thus, the gourmand element— are cited in the scent notes, but I'm perceiving it as also wood and tobacco . . . moreso than some soaps with tobacco in the name. Most robust scent of six samples, and it's very appealing.
Lather, while abundant, seemed airy and not overly slick; wonder if it was underhydrated at that point. Following a light rinse after a couple of passes, it suddenly felt as though a rich conditioning mask had been on my face.
Volume of soap used was approximately the volume of an almond, the broken-off corner you may see depicted.
I look forward to trying it again . . . perhaps with more water and/or a different razor.
However much you may acquire, you will always wish to acquire more; satiety is a dream which will always elude you. — Bertrand Russell on shaving soap
