Spañish Fern (Joserra) Fougère Friday
Shave 3

Just when you think some funky notes are about to surface and carry you off into the realm of Kouros, this fragrance pulls back and stays clean. I like it, though I have to admit Spañish Fern reminds me of a high school locker room circa 1979 – fragrant, organic, and slightly pungent.

I’m a sucker for smooth razors, and Blackland suggests their stainless Vector with a Lite baseplate is a perfect 10 in that department. I’m happy to give Shane full marks for truth in advertising. I enjoy the smoothness of using an unguarded Artists Club blade like the Feather Pro. It gives me a wonderfully close shave. But truth be told, it can be a bit harsh on my skin if used daily. Thankfully, the Vector Lite baseplate softens the experience, making the blade barely noticeable as it glides over my face. It’s still very effective though. Just two passes today left me with a pain-free, baby-smooth shave.
