Shave 2
Nearly all my rose soaps have gone to a colleague. She overhead me and a friend rhapsodizing about our shaves – saw the joy it brought to our eyes – and knew right then she wanted to be part of it. So I gave her a box full of rosy soaps, figuring they would appeal to her more than my usual skanky scents. I also handed her a synthetic brush and wished her well. I felt good, like I had won a convert. But my gift didn’t leave me with much to celebrate ThuRoseday, since I haven’t been able to score a jar of Joserra’s Black Rose. So for today’s shave I had to settle on this magnificent tub of Tuberose. Good gracious, what a fantastic floral! I chased it with a liberal dose of Eucris skin food, and now I smell like an undertaker.
The Lambda Athena razor continues to impress me with its unparalleled combination of mildness and efficiency. Today I loaded it with a Feather blade and came away with one of the closest and yet most comfortable shaves I’ve had in a very long time. This bronze razor is heavy and not always maneuverable, but it’s so silken smooth. Lambda should have named it Aphrodite, because I’m in love with it. Can’t wait to see the Lambda Ares reappear.
