Thanks Tommy.  I picked up the Slim head at the Timeless flash sale last week, and this shave was my first ride with it.  It was a quick shave because I had an appointment, but the Slim seems to have the combination of smoothness and efficiency I was looking for.  The maneuverability is nice too.  And looks aside, the Consul balances the head nicely, and the knurling and 14mm diameter make it grip-friendly for me.  My guess is I'm gonna like this setup too.
