Céfiro (Joserra) Aventus

Zephyr – Céfiro in Spanish – is the Greek god of the west wind. He ushers in the season of spring and makes the flowers bloom. Though generally a mild breeze, his puffy cheeks (check out the label) should have told me something about the intensity of this soap’s fragrance. Zephyr has his arms full of Aura, the goddess of gentle breezes. This pair, along with all the roses on the label, led me to believe that Céfiro would be a light and breezy floral affair. It’s not. This soap is just another predictable take on Creed Aventus. I smell the usual apple, currants, and lots and lots of pineapple. It’s bright and fruity and well done, but we’ve been here so many times before. I should have known that when the graphic artist simply plucks a piece from a Renaissance masterpiece to knock out a quick label, the stuff inside won't be any more original.
