What soap/cream did you use today?

I was recently gifted a care package that included, among other things, a bar of Pre de Provence Ocean air soap, and three very generous samples of ETHOS custom 10% EOS Skin Food Splash (SFS).  I am no stranger to ETHOS SFS in its normal strength.  Like many others, I think, I have amassed a collection of them over time.  The regular SFS has always worked great for me, and I find myself using the custom 10% more sparingly - but I get the same excellent results and delightful, longer than typical legged scents.  I also get the same ultra sheer finish that makes me personally prefer the splashes to the lotions and serums.

My preshave routine is almost always to wash with soap and water.  PdP is not new to me, and although it has been a while since I have used a PdP soap, I have always liked them.  Scentwise however, the PdP Ocean Air appeals to me more than most, with a scent that is clean and refreshing, authentic, and noticeable but not obtrusive enough to linger and interfere with whatever follows.

The Tatara blades pair well with a Tatara Masamune razor. They’re very smooth and mild. Almost too mild, in fact. I feel pretty stubbly a few hours after my shave. But there’s no denying the scraping itself is easy and comfortable, just the thing for those days when you’re letting your hide heal.

Thanks to everyone who helped me find French razor options. DanLaw, you're right about the Thiers-Issard straight razor. That would make for a excellent all-Gaul shave. However, I've never used a straight. I hear the learning curve is steep. But the traditional charm of it is quite appealing. I'll need to consider it carefully.

Whiterook, did you finish off the Apsley cream? If so, about how many shaves did you get out of that tub? And isn't Grafton a nice fougère. I love the tarragon note.
