Is that the old tallow based tripple milled formula or the new "21st Century" formula?

Honestly, it was one of the best soaps I have used at any price. And refills were only $12.00. What, if anything is similar today?

Oh, there are soft soaps, both artisan and mass market, that give the Fine old formula soap a run for its money. But, being triple milled (or at least apparently so) it lasted forever, making it extremely cheap to use, even at $12.00 per puck. Moreover, I have to hand it to Mr. Fine, his scents are very good approximations of the classics he is copying. The problem with the 21st Century formula (putting performance issues compared to the old formula aside to avoid that black hole) it is twice the price out of the gate, and being a soft soap doesn't last as long.
