I have this one and don't pickup any floral notes, I think mine is before she reformulated her soap though.

Curious on your thoughts on needing witch hazel with tallow soaps but not non tallow ? Thanks

If I don't use witch hazel after using a tallow soap, there is an increased chance of developing acne/whiteheads.  It generally happens after several uses of a tallow soap without applying WH.  If it's only a few consecutive "tallow" shaves, there's generally no issue.  But when I shave consistently with non-tallow soaps and don't apply WH, i have never had an issue with acne.
That's interesting. I'd send you some No. 13 to test the variables.

Eucris Cream (Geo. F. Trumper) oakmoss cologne
Shave 7

Today I used Ethos First Lather to see if it made any noticeable difference in the shave. It didn’t. Eucris cream is already pretty slick all on its own, and there’s no trouble building a lather with it, even though it’s dried up and as hard as beach pebble. So I’ll save the First Shave for lathering the Eucris hard puck that’s winging its way across the ocean to me. That soap is nearly impossible to lather, but I’m hoping a combo of the First Shave and the Plisson pour L’Occitane brush will conjure up something useful. I finished off today's scraping with a spritz of Penhaligon's Sartorial. The moss in that perfume plays pretty with the base notes in Eucris.
