Picked up some Palmolive Classica (made in Italy) for €1.65. Wonderful cream, better than Proraso Blue in my use. What a bargain, will have to get some more.

I headed to San Pietro in Vincoli to see the (2019) restoration of Michelangelo's Moses. Wonderful work getting this done. Had the Basilica to myself for the most part. Great city, especially this time of year with less crowds.

Eucris Cream (Geo. F. Trumper) oakmoss cologne
Shave 8

The smell of Eucris knocks me out. For years I considered this dusky blend of currants and moss as the quintessential smell of autumn. Now I recognize it as the smell of early spring when the first fragrant bulbs thrust their heads out of the dark moist earth.

Today I rubbed the Ethos First Shave all over my hand instead of my face. I built the lather on my palm with a synth brush, and gadzooks! … it was explosive. The lather came out thick and slick and luscious. Only thing it lacked was chocolate sprinkles. The first pass with the Feather Soft Guard was tuggy, but after that it was smooth sailing.
