Machrie (Arran) sea flowers
Shave 1
I planned to use another soap this morning, but by the time I got to the shower, the weather had changed. Cold rain has been pelting the windows for the last hour. Time to rethink today’s shave. Instead of the mentholated soap I first considered, I reached for this rock hard puck of Machrie.
You can see I’m a sucker for presentation. The container looks like a rock on a Scottish beach. I figured if the soap didn't work out, I could still use the container to prop up my listing mailbox. Turns out the stone isn’t stone at all. It’s actually resin. Still it’s hard and heavy, just like the puck inside. Arran uses the same formula as the latest Floris hard soaps, so this puck loads and lathers easily. Machrie smells like camomile, herbs, and driftwood. And if you use a bit of imagination, you may also smell the cold north sea.

Sorry for balking on you, Dave! But I'm sure you've got something fine lined up for tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing what's on deck!
(It's almost the season for Krokos!)

Pulled it out and will follow thru on your reminder which was greatly appreciated.
