Oh well, still whipped up a wonderful lather...

I have a few of Mo's soaps that were like that.  Depending on how strong my OCD was at the time I'd either mash it to fill in the gap or reblend the whole thing.   It's like the soap has extra aging.  Like dry aged beef.  Good stuff.

Absolutely...it's a great soap!  And I've had a couple others show up the same way.  Which is fine really....the soap/lather is still excellent.  I usually just mash it in to fill the gaps and i do that mainly because I load straight off the puck.  If I leave it loose, i end up twirling it around Smile

The cover photo was taken just down the road from Bouki’s hut.  It was nostalgic reviewing 63 years of life and revealing the changes that have happened.  As you can guess, rivers play a major role and hotsprings on those rivers drip with memories.[Image: fa0xqMc.jpg]
Because of the sulphurous waters of hotsprings I’ve been on a boukiesque soap experience and just finished a triple of using Saturnia and although I’m not going to use this soap into September I’ll sure give it another go tomorrow. The sulphur in this hangs close on my skin most of the day and thrills me.

Congrats on the book Lip!  And what a great idea for X-mas!

Vétyver, série limitée (Martin de Candre) a 3017 odyssey
Shave 41

I’m a bug magnet. Mosquitoes have a great time feasting on me, especially during sunset strolls. The missus, clever as she is, drags me to the beach at that precise hour, knowing those mossies will flock to me like bees to honey, leaving her in peace. I suppose we’re all called on to make sacrifices in the name of love, but is there any relief for a poor chap against this airborne assault? Well, perhaps a dash of vetiver will do.

Seems vetiver oil is the bee’s knees in natural bug-be-gone technology. A recent scientific study showed that when mosquitoes collided with concentrations of 2.5% to 5% vetiver oil, they buzzed off. Some even decided to give the area a wide berth afterward. Naturally, the higher the dose of vetiver, the more repellent it proved. And fear not, the study also made sure vetiver oil won’t wreak havoc on us humans. Unlike some essential oils which make skin more sensitive to sunlight, vetiver oil didn’t lead to a burn, even when the test subjects stepped into the bright sunshine. Looks like a smooth shave with Vetyver could just help save the sunset.

Good to see that 345 soap. Scent on that one is nice and to have it be the featured soap of the NW wetshavers meet is fun.

I had another incredible shave tonight with AION Skincare's new Maxima base.  The first pass was routine.  The second pass turned into two passes plus some touchups - all without relathering!  To be clear, I did at times dip the razor into lather floating in the sink, but IMO that is hardly the same as relathering.  As for blood, the disappearing red microdots from my first Maxima shave made their reappearance tonight, but were kind enough to once again make their disappearance by shave's end.  This is not unique to Maxima of course, but it is nice.  Finally, I found the soap scent mild, but easily discernible, and very pleasing.

NOTES:  Incense, Labdanum, Frankincense, Myrrh, Vanilla, Honey, Amber, Precious Woods, Cedarwood, Tonka Bean, and Benzoin.
