Oh well, still whipped up a wonderful lather...

I have a few of Mo's soaps that were like that.  Depending on how strong my OCD was at the time I'd either mash it to fill in the gap or reblend the whole thing.   It's like the soap has extra aging.  Like dry aged beef.  Good stuff.
Exactly AlphaFrank. I just regrated mine, performance might fine.

Great analogy gentlemen. Same experience here

In fact, being a bowl latherer, scoop soap and smear several days in advance. While scent strength suffers somewhat, find lathering vastly superiour. So far every soap has exhibited better results employing 'induced aging'.

Lipripper660, the real pickle I find myself in is not with using the same the soap week after week, but with the confounded conundrum of conjuring up the daily verbiage to chronicle my morning ablutions. I need to capture the high drama of this saga in a dazzling dance of prose and bristle. Wracking the old bean each morning to cook up a tidbit fascinating enough to tickle the fancy of a group of chaps who’ve undoubtedly been around the shaving block a good many times sets my old head spinning like a top.

So, fair warning. Brace yourselves. Things are looking stodgy in the offing. Soon I’ll begin my creep through some dusty old tomes, hoping to dredge up small bits of wisdom that will capture your interest. When at last I scrape the final suds from this jar, we should all qualify magna cum laude for advanced degrees in vetiverology.

I finished writing a wee 400 plus page book about the joys of being me and will gift copies to my kids for Christmas.  It was so fun I started another! The cover photo was taken just down the road from Bouki’s hut.  It was nostalgic reviewing 63 years of life and revealing the changes that have happened.  As you can guess, rivers play a major role and hotsprings on those rivers drip with memories.[Image: fa0xqMc.jpg]
Because of the sulphurous waters of hotsprings I’ve been on a boukiesque soap experience and just finished a triple of using Saturnia and although I’m not going to use this soap into September I’ll sure give it another go tomorrow. The sulphur in this hangs close on my skin most of the day and thrills me.

Stirling - Scots Pine Sheep

Super nice first shave with this, even though I had to be quick today. I'm sure it will only get better when I don't feel rushed (and if loading from an actual tub, instead of a sample in-hand).

Side note, and probably better suited to another thread, but what the heck: I've gotten carefree about changing my blades for the past couple months. I think I've only used maybe 3 blades during that time. I used to change every 3-4 shaves, but easily doubling/tripling that, recently.
