This is the ideal season for indulging in oud. The lawn, parched and smelling of earth and hay, is nearly dead. Fallen leaves gather in lingering heaps, molding before my rake can clear them. Even the surf carries a musty scent in the absence of trade winds. The nights are eerily quiet, interrupted only by my neighbor’s dogs howling at the pink moon rising up out of the sea. Now is the time for long sticks of Japanese incense, ripe cheeses, dried fruits, and the earthy remnants of things pulled up from the garden.

All 3 are just soooo different. I couldn’t choose one only if I had to go to a desert island so I’m not going. What is a desert island anyway? Is it an island in the middle of the pacific and like a mini Sahara?

Over 2 feet in 24 hours, the bug is in the air! I also just drove the interstate right after the storm and saw 5 resorts' slopes looking beautiful.

Oh Brother life is busy thank goodness but I’d also like to breathe on occasion. Here’s the last three that I haven’t posted.

DR Harris has been and continues to be a favorite. Love me some hard, traditional style soaps even if I don’t lather them traditionally. I dump the puck in my palm and load merrily away. Then rub my hand over my cheeks and massage my whiskers. Next I’ll bring the loaded brush to my cheeks and work up a creamy lather as I add water. The puck gets dunked into the sink and plopped on a hand towel to dry before putting back in the bowl to store. This puck is lavender and what a light and amazing scent. How about that brush! Huh?

This one got two days in a row. Great scent and performance. PAA set out to show that veg can be as good as tallow and ck6 for me is that! The scent on this one is a great sandalwood. The picture? Well you decide but I see an angry owl wearing a life jacket.

And of course this all hallows Eve needed a stinker and Salters was more than willing to provide.
